Self Reading Challenge

I don't know if anyone has read the book 12 Lessons by Kate Spencer, it's a nice little novel based around a woman's tarot reading that brings huge change to her life.
Anyway, that author then published a 12 Lessons Journal, which is a bit like a work book, one lesson for every month.

I thought it would be fun if we started a little thread, I can post the questions (each one is based on the reading in the novel) and use our own tarot readings as a way of guidance.
It would also be a good way for some of the newer tarot enthusiasts to bond with their decks, do some serious journaling and start to pull some life lessons from it.

It would also be somewhere to come if you get a total 'duh!!' moment and need some help with interpretation, although your own thoughts will usually be the right ones.

We could post our readings here or keep and discuss them, or keep them private, totally up to each person.

Just post 'I'm in', or 'add me' if you're interested.

You can join in at any time, as long as the 'lessons' are done in order as that is important.

OK. I'll give the thread some time to see if anyone else wants to join up and will put the firs 'lesson' up in about 24 hours.

The idea is;
There will be one 'lesson' every 4 weeks, hopefully in line with the full moon, thus giving you time to absorb the lesson and integrate it into your everyday life if you so wish.

Using your tarot or oracle cards to answer the questions in relation to the month's topic (this is based on the tarot reading of the original book's main character). You can use as many or as few cards as you desire, in a spread or free flow. This challenge is about you, and you are free to do it however feels best for yourself.

Be open to the answers the cards give, as these answers come from a point of truth outside your 'thinking' brain.

If you feel inclined to do so, you can look further into these insights over the month, post your musings here, journal them or whatever you feel fits with you.

This is a chance to really gain some self knowledge, work with a deck you really want to become more comfortable with, or give you the opportunity to play with different decks.
It is all about what you want to get out of it.

Lesson One

The Phoenix - Be open to possibility

Your questions are:

How could you open your mind and your heart more to the possibility that there is more?

Is there a part of you that is closed to things you cannot see, touch or feel? Why?

Are you ready to entertain the thought that new experiences and perspectives could be beneficial to you? How?

Take your time over each question, dig deeper if you wish.

Three bloomin' courts cards for the first question I may be gone some time

@Belle

It's a great way of starting to look at what we can change to help create the life we want. Living authentically can be tricky, but worth it and by the end of 2016 we should hopefully have come a long way.
