possible
Some believe that, the book of Enoch, Jonah and the whale, mummies and the influenced to do so, etc., theories as a possibility.
Erik Von Daniken (author of Chariots of the Gods) and others that comment on History's Ancient Aliens TV program are interesting to say the east.

yes it is pretty, kind of reminds me of sand art displays on the beaches....
connecting the art to the topic of the original question, wonder who the artists were ? somehow when I think of aliens, I don't think of them as being undersea inhabitants ......so then, my guess would be Atlanteans ? or artistic mermaids ?

It is very pretty... Like GemDragon said its created by a puffer fish.
I watched a documentary on TV a while back and the fish was filmed creating it.. Amazing piece of art!

Lol, yes it looks kind of Atlantean.. But as Gem said its a little puffer fish, who spends ages creating that beautiful piece of art solely to attract a mate, when I watched it on TV I was in awe, needless to say the fish got his mate lol... But then what female wouldn't be impressed with that work of art!?!
