Radioactive Man -With Love.
Naoto Matsumura has stayed in the Fukushima radioactive exclusion-zone to care for the animals left behind there:

What selfless love.

What a beautiful soul. In the face of such nobility of spirit, one feels very humble....

I am moved by the sheer joy in his face, the lack of anything to do with fear, and the warmth of his heart shines. It simply says "All is well."
That's the way it is with completely selfless love. It sets us free and transcends all these earthly concerns.
But on a very ordinary level all the animals look so well fed and cared for.

Tobi, I'm so glad that you have started a thread about this amazing man. He combines concern for others (in this case animals abandoned in the rush to escape radioactivity) with incredible practical skills in making sure all all the creatures are well fed and cared for. It is a lesson for us all.
Where does he get his own food from, I wonder?

Although he accepts the likely radiation threat, apparently he is being prudent about his food, and imports it in from outside the 'zone' to lessen the risk as much as he possibly can under the circumstances. I presume (?) he also does this with the animals' food.
I think he has received donations to help. He probably started with his own money...(?) Unsure.
I would like to know! Is it by helicopter drop? Or does a truck bring it in?

I found a Facebook page, which gives quite a lot of information. It can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Naoto...&tab=page_info
To see the full story, just click on "Long description".

Thank you LPC. That Facebook page gives a lot more information. I suppose Naoto must have to walk quite a distance to get fresh supplies, animal food etc. I presume by now all the gasoline in his area (The Zone) will have been used up.
Seeing the animals who had starved must have broken his heart. But his "rage" has brought good things for the survivors. (Thanks to him.)
I can only hope he gets on-going support from helpers outside, who also care deeply.
