Ouija Advice?

My friend and I are quite avid users of a Oujia board. We use it roughly once a week. Recently we asked to speak with a spirit guide, and we were paired with a certain spirit that seemed to have good intentions, and felt like he was sent to us with a purpose. He had attached himself to the board and we had a great feeling regarding this and now he is the spirit to immediately respond when we hold our rituals. However the issue is, my friend had seen a projection of a child in his apartment last night, a "ghost" if you will, so we immediately went to the board thinking it maybe came for help. We spoke with our guide, and he had explained that this child was murdered and came to us for help to put him to rest, and it really touched us. The problem is, after probing for answers, and gathering information from our guide, and the child whom was being interprited through our guide, we began to have suspicions that this child ghost, was infact non-exsistant. So we had asked our guide if there really was a child, and it turns out there wasn't. Our guide had confessed that it was him that gave my friend this projection of a child, so we would speak with him that night. This concerned us, because we wanted to send the guide back to it's spiritual realm, however we are under the impression this isn't possible, and we didnt want to banish him where as we don't want to harm him, because we do feel his intention are good... so, with this being said we had spoke with our guide and came to an agreement that he was not to come onto our physical realm, or interfer with our mind, spirit, or body in anyway, and that he is merely for us to communicate with a trusted spirit. He has been attached to our board for 2 weeks, and it was just last night that the "ghost" appeared. I guess I am just reaching out and asking for some help, and if it is possible to send this spirit back into it's own realm without harming it, breaking/buryng the board, or banishing the spirit itself, because afterall we did call to him. We don't feel any threat from it, however we can't know for sure if it is a pure spirit. For now we are binding the board inbetween use to make sure it causes no harm. I appreciate anyone who could help with any information on the matter.

Hi Skychild, I personally won't use a Sprirt board for that very reason - you don't always know what you will get when calling up spirits. Be careful of the spirit, it doesn't appear to be harmful, however sometimes they gain your trust and turn on you. I don't like how it lied to you telling you it was a guide. Remember guides do not lie to you or make you feel uncomfortable. I have heard of spirits pretending to be your guide and tell you to do bad things and such. Why can't you remove the spirit? Just because you called it up doesn't mean you have to live with it. You can ask it to leave. Be polite yet forceful. If it still won't leave demand it to leave. You can also burn sage to helpt remove the spirit. Its your home you have control of your life not the spirit. Be firm. Take control of whats going on. Maybe others on here can give you some other good advice. Either way let us know what happens.

I've had a lot of dealings of this sort.

Get to know the spirit more intimately, understand what "he" wants and why, treat him as an equal.

If the spirit is no longer needed it is well within their choice to go and do as they please. It may be hard to believe, but when the Ouija is concerned, it is not you who control the spirit, it is the spirit who chooses to answer your call.

Ask him if he would prefer it if you cut his ties with the board to allow him to explore the physical world.

Every spirit, guide or not, has faults and the capability of lying to protect themselves or to protect or harm someone else.

Just like you, spirits will often become unhappy if you tell them what to do and try to control them. They answer your call by their own free will, they have no obligation to do as you say and they do not wish to be enslaved either.

I suppose all I am saying is, treat spirits as your equal and give them the respect you would wish to receive in turn.

Well, our first encounter with him was fantastic, we learned a few things about him. He goes by MJ, 17 years old, died in 1971, was a buddhist, and lived in BC (not British Columbia) and we just spoke with him, and everything felt natural, he said he was sent here to us by a buddhist god to act as a guide and communicate for us. We felt really good about it, because we use the board quite frequently so we had thought it might have been sent to us as a trusted guide. He kept going from the sun to the moon and to the Ouija, and we were trying to figure out what he was trying to tell us, and we asked if he was asking to be our ouija day and night, and he replied Yes, and like I said... it felt great. We both felt quite emotional over it like he was a blessing. However, he did ask for power alot... but we always refused to give it to him, and it frusterated him, because he would keep asking for it. So after talking to him for a while, we put the board away for a few days, and had no intention on using it until this wednesday, but last night my friend had witnessed the child figure, and I was sitting there with my back to it, but the look on his face, there is no way it could be imagined. So him and I were talking, and said maybe the child is reaching out to us for help, so we decided on taking out the board. MJ immediately was the first to reply. We asked if there were other spirits present in the home and he said yes. Then we started asking questions about the child, and why he came to us, and the answers we were getting werent really making sense. So we asked our guide, if there actually was a child involved, and he said no, and we asked if it was him getting our attention, and he said yes. and when we asked why he would just keep saying MA, as in asking for power. So we tried reasoning with him and asking him to leave, and he said he was unable to leave ( he told us that the first night too) so we asked at that point to speak with "the ouija", to take him back to the spiritual realm, and it said no. So at that point, my friend and I were deciding on banishment, or burying the board. We felt that was the wrong thing to do, where as it is our fault he is here, and he may not have bad intentions. So we decided to give him a second chance, and told him that he is no longer allowed in our physical realm, nor can he interfer with our mind body or spirit in any way, shape or form, and that he may only speak to us when called upon. He agreed with this, so we are hoping that maybe it wont happen again... but to be honest, I've been reconsidering, and I don't know if having it around at all is a very good idea, but what I am getting at is he willingly put himself into our board, and said it was his job... but he betrayed our trust, and entered our realm. Should this be a concern? Or am I just over reacting to this?

I think your concern is well placed because this is a new experience for you.

Personally, I've seen this happen a lot, so I am not surprised that he wanted to do his own thing.

Imagine being introduced to a world that is as amazing as ours and then having all of these restrictions put on you, having your own questions misinterpreted or your wants and needs not being fulfilled, being unable to stay or leave and not knowing when or where or why you will be called next.

Spirits can become just as stressed or curious or anxious as you or I.

I would say give him time to adjust.

Learn as much as possible about him.

Do not be too harsh and keep opinions to yourself.

The truth of his nature, the relationships he wishes to form and his motives will show itself sooner rather than later if your adamant.

I must thank you, I really was considering the alternative, I guess the fact that it entered our realm gave me a spook, but I suppose that is the whole purpose of practicing perfect love and perfect trust. As long as I practice my necessary precautions I shall be safe. :) Thank you very much Sangress, you've made me realize that this is a spirit that we are dealing with, and it has just as much right to exsist as myself. I shall keep this post updated, and let you know how things go over.

Sling it out of the window. On the whole, and I speak with 40yrs at this Spiritual lark, they bring nothing but agro in the end. If you want to communicate then join a good development circle and start from scratch with an experienced group leader.

I used a ouija board a few times and each time I had unsettling results. In hindsight I think it was because I was not stating a certain intention at the beginning of each session, and I was just inviting whatever or whoever to come forth and talk to me. It was scary. I actually ended up burning my ouija board with a friend because it was getting too intense.

If I were to use one again, I think I would go about it a lot differently; but to be honest, I think my initial experiences have tainted me from wanting to give it another try.

I am curious to read what others have to say about it though!

I also advice to leave well and truely alone,this is not a game and although I know off your good intentions, it may all backfire on you. Remember "As above so below" meaning that bad and good spirits exist as does on earth
good people and rotten ones
so give it a rest ,clear the house of any spirit energy ,create white light ,and learn to strike up an internal dialogue with your main guide

I have used the Ouija since I was 4 years of age. I've grown up and learned alongside the spirits who found passage through the board.

To be blunt, I find that the "bad" kind of spirits are usually a lot more knowledgeable, intelligent and experienced than the "good" kind.

But then again, any good spirit can be bad and vice versa, so it is truly only human perception that puts those labels on spirits.

Most spirits can sense peoples motives even before they step through to the physical world and often they dislike the motives we humans have and often have to go to great lengths to get most people to understand and learn anything much, that is if they don't get fed up and want to be cut from the board entirely because they feel they are (as I have heard countless times) "dealing with idiots."

Anything selfish, power-hungry, ignorant, dishonest or anything to do with having any kind of control over anything will inevitably yield unwanted results.

I would urge people to understand the nature of spirits, why the board was ever originally created and to never use the board for personal gain.

It's a wonder so many people have negative experiences, they have no idea of how deeply they offend the things that they call and then think it is fine to blame it on the board and the "bad" spirit and then go so far as to torture and punish the spirit with a Banishing. Does that behavior sound harsh and a little arrogant to you?

Will no one ever own up to their mistakes, stop mistreating and blaming spirits and simply forgive it all?

(This is aimed at no one in particular....just the general population who use Ouija boards in irresponsible ways....etc)
