I have a three-way pagan heritage - Celt, Saxon, Norse - so I know exactly what you mean

My family is christian of today and yesterday, but our followings show worship of nature Gods and even Thor. I know this through oral history that has been passed down in my family for generations. I would not know this if it wasn't for my grandfather who served in the Norweigan Wiking Division during many battles in the Arctic Circle. He has preserved the history of my blood. I have knowledge we defended northen europe from being ursurped by Huns, Romans etc.

Yeah...my extended family keeps telling me, "You were baptized Catholic! You can't resist it anymore! Your mother and her mother and father were Catholic! That means your family lineage is Catholic!" But I'm like, uhh, my mother's mother's mother's ancestors probably practiced some Celtic paganism, if you want to argue that I should be practicing the faith of my family lineage.

Either it's fine to break the line or it's not. They can't say, it's not fine for me to turn from Catholicism to Paganism, but it's the right thing to turn from Paganism to Catholicism. Especially since I was baptized without my consent as a baby when I was too young to really think or find my beliefs.

Ha i know the feeling with that one my dad's side of the family are strongly catholic but my mum & dad are both christian so they baptized me and claimed for years that this 'made' me christian like just because they chose that for me it means i automatically believe it in my core. When obviously it doesn't at all because choices people made for you when you were too young to decide doesn't make that your choice. Plus the fact that from my dad's side their is Celtic ancestory & on my mother's Anglo-Saxon

If I may also add, he has not commited fornication with the great prostitute...(the great prostitute meaning the catholic church)
