the purpose of life.

i have read that basically god got lonely and he split himself into others and created life to hide from being alone. what are your opinions on this? here is a video about this.

It doesn't sit right with me. For God to get lonely there is required the creation of the mental concept and possibility of two-ness or separateness. In this case creation has started before the feeling of loneliness. So whilst it may explain everything "after" the conception of separateness it doesn't explain the initial reason behind God conceiving of separateness.

I don't think God sought to "hide" from loneliness. Rather, the Creator created a way to experience itself over and over again. Physical reality is re-creation or recreation for the One. How could the Creator experience its love without creating fear? Experience enlightenment without creating loneliness? Such is the world of relativity.

Since God is Love and there is no one for Him to love but Himself,
He HAD to pretend that He was "another" for Him to Love and be loved by.

If anyone has experienced The Void then they would probably know why
this Absolute Consciousness didn't want to have much to do with Nothingness.

Boring...

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Na, god can't get lonely, that's of the mind, there is no purpose to life, if there was, then who's purpose. If we make life a purpose we then destroy it, life is forever flowing, you cannot dam it up and make a claim, you have to go with it and enjoy the ride no matter where it takes you, Oh yea.

If something is all knowing, all encompassing, everlasting, how does it experience itself subjectively? It creates life.

The only problem is, if something is all of those traits above, would it really need to experience existence? Or is this just the means to an end - ie the "how" in its all knowingness?!

Then enjoying the ride is your purpose.

No, the ride is life, that needs no purpose.
