Smile A sudden yearning to be chrisened.

I do believe in god, but I am not a church goer, I believe that god is every where, I was not christened and it has never bothered me before, but since I have started meditating it has been constantly in my mind.
Also do you think it is easier to conect to spirit if you have been chrisened?

If you don't believe in Christian doctrine, I would advise against it.

And if many traditional teachings are to be believed - it helps us connect with the Holy Spirit.

I really don't think that getting christened/baptised has anything to do with connecting or communicating with spirit.......

Its just a ritual that symbolizes death of the old self, or the false self, and now been renewed to your true inner SELF, in the bible its called the Christ. The ritual is not important at all, its what it points to that matters.

No I don't think it makes it easier. Christening is a christian tradition, it has no effect on how well you can connect! I was never christened and never will be - I can still connect to the angels and receive complex guidance.

But if you want it, I'd go do it for that reason. My strongest yearnings usually turn out to be the things I really NEED to do. Perhaps this is simply a call to God, rather than a call to religion? Have you considered daily prayer to a God you feel comfortable with?? That might help.

Do you mean you feel the urge to be christened as in baptised into a Christian institution? Or simply baptised as in the ritual of voicing your intent to live a certain way using the waters to symbolizing you being washed clean and born again?

The second is not at all a Christian ritual, it was simply adopted as such and warped into the first.

You need no one except yourself to declare your intent through washing of water.
