Quick question about a toddler's mental acuity
Yes this post isn't off-topic here, just in case someone wants to report it for a forum change or something-so just go with me for the moment, initially I just want to solicit opinions.
You give a pair of glasses to an 18 month old toddler. What do you think they will most likely do with them? Just toss out some feelers, then after a few responses I'll elaborate.

If they've seen someone else wear glasses and they know they're for wearing, they'll likely try to put them on everyone they see. They'll bend them to figure out if they move and how, put them in their mouth to feel the surfaces (that's why babies put things in their mouth, to feel stuff better than with their fingers), smack them on something to hear the sound it makes. That kind of stuff

Well yeah, that's exactly what she (middle niece) did-stuck them right on her face (I have a pic too). They kept slipping off her cute little button nose tho. I just thought that was a pretty weirdly precocious thing to do at that age. She spooks me in innumerable other ways as well (3 1/2 now), which is why I mention it here. Stay tuned...

I wear sunglasses daily and my little one has been putting them on since she was about 6 months. Now that she is 14 months, she can put hers or mine on perfectly. We call her a "rockstar" when she wears them
