Oujia Board myth

Okay i believe that the whole hype of the oujia board is completely miss-placed most people think that using it can be a bad thing, i myself believe in the power of the human mind and i know for a fact that as soon as people think "oujia" they think of all the nasty lil things that come out of it, like a pandora's box if you will.

My Belief is that as humans we are curious, and nothing gets us more than the paranormal, seeing as we are always looking for answers, therefore i believe its the human mind that can cause Disturbances when using the board. If for example people are using it who have a high degree of Psychic abilities can without a doubt use the board and always get in contact with someone/something. Where as those that are new to this can make contact but as soon as they do there minds are closed, there open to the possibility when they attempt it but the results cause them to fear, and nothing is quite as powerful as fear, especialy when your in a group full of people all connected while using the board.

This in my eyes means that Sub-conciously, you are connected to all the people arround you, our brains are processors after all, trasmitters and recievers. Some of us can recieve thoughts and fealings from others, ie there "reading a person" going by what they recieve at the time. If you are all fealing anxious or excited while doing this then something will obviously happen. Also to get the glass moving/pointer i do believe that Telekenisis among a group of people is definetly possible due to the ammount of concentration involved.

I used to use the board alot as a kid, and i did it on my own. On my own i didnt get a thing, as soon as i was arround others who were excited to be part of something we did, that tells me that the power of the human mind is incredible because it reach's out to others without us even being aware of it. And since not all of us fully understand the workings behind it, we put it down to a "Spirit" Where as of course i believe this to be a myth based on the factors, if the Human mind wills it, it will happen based on the "group" of people also present at the time (sharring the same Relaxed state)

Some people are able to focus and concentrate and will things to happen on there own, these people are using a doorment part of there brains which has already been established by medical research, being that some people in life have none of these abilities, some have serious accidents and wake up with abilities, this in turn in my Theory suggests that damage to part of the brain can cause Abilities that lay doorment to Surface.

So overall i believe the Oujia board to be a thing of Superstition, The power of the human mind however is so complex i dont think anyone will ever fully understand it. I believe the people who will things to happen do in a nutshell, if your in a group of people this will be alot easier given the circumstances and the belief surrounding it. The Fear is a super battery for paranormal activity that i believe is caused by the human brain itself.

Hi Golden,I'm no expert on ouija boards but I'm sure there would be quite a few on SF who might disagree that phenomena surrounding the board is purely down to the power of the human mind.This thread might give you some insight into other people's beliefs and experiences

I believe the Ouija board is like stumbling onto a random door. You are tempted to open it but you don't know what is behind it. When I meditate I open a door for my guides and angels to come through but that is MY door and I am the gate keeper so to speak. I control that door and whatever comes through it and if there is any negativity trying to come through, I ask it to leave and also ask my guides and angels to remove it. That has happened a few times and once with some lady that came through that was just babbeling to me about something and I was like "who the heck is the lady? get her out of here please". Spirits KNOW when you open a door, and usually they are lined up there because they all have messages for someone and they are aware you may be able to give them messages so they are desperate to communicate.

I have the power to close my door when I feel like it as do just about everyone on this forum. Sometimes it is more difficult. I can't always prevent things from coming through. I have started to hear more whispers lately and feel more things around me but it's not so bad, if I had negative feeling about these things I would request they leave by escort of my angels and guides.

With a Ouija board, it's a lot harder to close that door than it is to open it. Our control over a random door that doesn't belong to us in the first place is extremely minimal. That door doesn't really belong to anyone, it's like a public restroom I suppose. lol, kind of a different way to put it but you can't tell people who can and cannot use it because they will just disguise themselves as good to come through.

No matter what we think of this board or how it works, it is dangerous when in the hands of most people for the simple reason that they do not understand what it is, what it does, or how it works.

It would benefit us all to cultivate relaxation and meditation instead.

There is no power at all behind a ouija board the power is behind the person using it. Its just a divination tool nothing more we open ourselves up to it and ask anyone to how up so of course your going to get a few meanies. But its nothing more then a tool thats it.

Occultist-Why are certain divination tools able to "conjur" more spirits that others? It just seems like the Ouija board is more known because it brings negative energies through.

Ah so one of you finaly understood what i was getting at lol :) Yeah this is exactly how i feel, its just like the old lady and the crystal ball in my opinion, without it there is no reaction. Human being takes an action, By taking that action human being recieves a reaction.. Thats about it really :P

I study everything theology,paranormal,fearyology,Demonology,Crypto zoology,Witchcraft,Paganism,Wicca,left handed religions,Folklore,Myths,Hauntings,Possesions,Divi nation,Mediums,psychics,telekinesis,UFO,Other worldly Alien reports,Magick,Paranormal investigations.Religions,Metaphysics,spirits,Angel ics.shadow entities,Crop circles,you name it I have studied it. LOL

any divination can bring negative entities through, it's all based on your intent and your energy when you use "said" tool.

Ouja board never really worked for me... recently however i was given a "Spirit Board". has messages from trees and angels, all the Elementals etc. Not a game but a divination tool with a cursor that moved around the whole board in every direction using your energy from teh hands to do so (just like Ouja) It was wonderful at first. I had never experienced such crystaline communication - nothing was obscure all was right to the point and water clear! Then it turned ugly despite the fact that i was religious abt sumdging and praying a darker force moved in and it was horrible to get rid of. Still not sure... Thing is no matter how careful you are some things WILL get thru and the prayers u say to kep the bad out have to include the good cuz they are aces at disguising themselves and/or are not evil just opportunistic! Learned that the hard way too! Now if i were to try this type of communication again i would say "All UN-invited are not welcome" I would be very specific abt who was allowed in .... but even then for every lock we make there is a locksmith out there!! LOL!
