Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Welcome to Spiritual Forums, "Larry Darrell".
Whether it's coincidence or not, I love your user name "Larry Darrell" because that is the name of the main character in one of my favorite books/movies --- the "Razor's Edge" by Somerset Maugham.
Not only is it a great story but I was also awed by the spiritual wisdom of the "guru" as presented in the novel. Having practiced for years under a revered Hindu sage, I couldn't even imagine how a British writer could portray an eastern guru so accurately.
It was only years later that Major Chadwick wrote short book about his guru, Ramana Maharshi, and recalled how the British writer Somerset Maugham came to India and observed Ramana for about 9 months before returning to England to write his classic masterpiece.

If you're not familiar with Ramana Maharshi, he is one of the revered modern sages of India and the eminent psychologist Carl Jung wrote the intro to one of Ramana's Dialogues books. Jung called Ramana "the whitest spot in the white space of India".

Although I've had limited exposure to hypnosis, your post reminded me of an article that I had bookmarked about "The Medical Power of Hypnosis". The link was posted here by someone here who was really into hypnosis. I am going to re-read that article and, if I find the original hypnosis thread, I will post it here for you as there was some really good information in it if I recall correctly.

Thank you, Still_Waters!!!

This is Fantastic! A million thanks, Still_Waters!!!

What a smart, thoughtful and inciteful message you sent!!! I thank you!

Yes, the Larry Darrell character is one of my literary heroes. I have read and re-read "The Razor's Edge" many, many times over the years. I was not familiar with Ramana Maharshi. I will certainly get to know this extraordinary person!

And many thanks for attaching the article concerning medical hypnosis.

Checking your message was like discovering a beautiful gift.

Thank you so much!

Larry
