I'm am able to sense spirits. Sometimes I just know they are there but at other times I can see, hear and speak to them. Some spirits say they have never lived in the physical world. I don't always know who they are but they may me offer guidance. I'm a 'sensitive'.

I can sense or 'read' details directly about the people close to me or who come to see me for help. When I tell folks details they mostly say I am accurate and I may use the information to help those who ask advice. Sometimes I can detect the presence of ‘unseen’ individuals in other dimensions - spirits - and they tell me things for myself or about others.

Sometimes people ask me to tell their futures but I tell them I do not know what the future may bring. I'm a 'psychic'.

I'm able to focus and can then communicate with spirits. Some of them are my personal helpers and bring me support and guidance. I may also see and/or hear them or receive an image of what they're trying to communicate to me. Some come to pass on a message to family or friends who have come to me seeking reassurance about their loved ones. I try to get information to prove who the communicator is. I'm a 'medium' or 'evidential medium'.

I'm a medium :) I use clairvoyance (seeing), clairaudience (hearing) and clairsentience (feeling) to communicate with spirits on the other side. Mostly I use my clairvoyance. I am given pictures, memories etc. in my head as if I am imagining them with my own mind. I also can 'speak' to the spirits telepathically (in my head) as if I'm having a conversation with myself in my head. And yes...at first, I did think I was going nuts :P...and finally sometimes (usually when I'm struggling to give 110% in a reading thru clairvoyance or clairaudience), spirit will allow me to experience the feelings the person on the other side is trying to convey. Sometimes the feelings accompany clairaudience and clairvoyance.

Interestingly, I have not 'always' been a medium. I say 'always' because I know that everyone has the ability to communicate with the other side, but unlike a lot of people I was not aware of the ability until I joined a Psychic Development Circle. After sitting in Circle for a year, our teacher progressed us to bringing thru proof of survival, or conducting mediumship readings rather than psychic readings. I struggled at first, and then one night BANG! I got a lady's grandparents thru and from then on have really begun to try to hone my gift :)

I think I may have now lost some spirit acuity . I used to be very clear seeing as a child.

Now I am mostly intuitive and psychic having most ideas and concepts put directly into me head. Which has of course been associated with mental medium ship, however I do not always know the source of my information and trust in the censorship and vetting of my guides (who I also do not see anymore) to provide pukka information .

My automatic writing and readings have virtually no input from me as Neville(I take out the swear words usually is all) But else wise Its my hands typing and me as Neville ordinarily is independent of any information conveyed.

Probably but then we are all wired into all that is by dint of being a part and point in creation. I never fully reconciled myself to the physically evident fact that I was a Man alone in the world living a finite existence. It feels (perhaps irrationally in some eyes) that the individual is a part of and therefore connected to something less tangible yet infinitely larger in both scope and operation.

Feel free to stop me if I am drifting a little here. Oh and I should also include a Bad analogy alert as I think I may be able to better explain what I mean.

Our connections to everything else don't end there, We can all trace our DNA back to 3.5 Billion years ago to a pool of Amino Acid that needed just one freak act of one single organism to eat another and thus precipitate multiplication into more complex cell structures, cell structures with a genetic memory,

When we consider the extent to which we are connected, it becomes less surprising to me that we can tune into other radio stations. Transmissions if you will.

I see myself as being a channel of love - I don't know what that makes me?

I would say I have no abilities except for being a channel, I can't force anything to happen within that channel, but when ever it seems to be needed, all kinds of things happens within it.

That is good to know... sometimes I just ask and write and there is no thought from me... it just comes out.. usually reaching conclusions or asking probing questions that are actually very good. I am such an intellectual person that, it surprises me and I am happy to be able to shut it down. Cristina

The references I've seen to 'channelling' often speak of channelling one's 'higher self', channelling 'ascended masters' etc.

Although allowing oneself to be a channel for healing energy etc. may be thought of as channelling as you suggest, I've gained the impression that those who refer to themselves as channellers mean something altogether different.
