The Singer's Prayer
May the words of my song, make you curious
May the sound of my voice ease your mind
May the rhythm of my instrument make you move
to another place *
so you can be someone else
and be yourself again
May your mind step out of its intense living
and unfurl slowly like a sail
May the gulls carry away your painful memories
and may we all break on the shore
like an early morning wave
May our goodness never be overtaken
by darkness
And may our own light stand like a mountain
and shine like the sun
even when the calamity of human
mistakenness stands defiant at our door
May we trust that we are
part of something, and dream that we are love
and dream that we are one.
May the notes sound
against the thunder rolling
the moist air soothe our thirsty souls
As we gather around the tree of Song
May we rest in this Pause
And forget all Wrongs.
** Hopefully not out the door !! lololol Boom Boom !!!

Love many, trust few, and always paddle your own canoe...an old verse, hope that helps.

There is a new madness taking over the lands, a blind eagle circling, looking for a good place to land.
It's going to be a painfully slow process...

There was a good man named Joe
Who liked to tickle the strings as we know
He could sing and dance out a good tune
We would all drop by to say Hi to Joe.
And sing.

I'm on a little holiday from SF (KIND of sort-of) he he.. But I wanted to creep in for a second to mention that I really enjoyed your poem.
The song tree - sounds like a place my soul would fly me to in a dream so that I could hang out there when I woke up.

Ah thank you for reading my verse and im touched that you resonated with The Song tree, the tree of fruitful song, eternal joy and everlasting happiness.
Hanging out there, yes...makes me think of some words...by WB Yeats in a poem called the Stolen Child, " For he comes the human child to the waters and the wilds, with a faery hand in hand for the world's more full of weeping than you can understand .." the whole poem is beautiful :)

Thank you kind friend
For i know your search has been long
And thank you for the cheer
that you bring in the words of your song
I dreamt one night i was at the mountain top
after the gallant search was done
but in the morning i found
the daylight shouting
Come on ! Come on !!
Will get a bloody move on !!!
Thank you kindly :)
