Strange occurance

Something happen to me a few days ago. I tried to wake up but felt I was being held down by some invisible force and I felt bound in some way. I think I woke up, I am sure I did, but then I saw a hand like spider (?) shadow crawling from the spare space on the wall above my curtains which are opposite my bed, it continued along the ceiling down the wall where my head board was and about a foot away from my head board I managed to switch my small spot light on which is attached to my headboard, so I must of been awake and not a dream, it was really weird.

I've had sleep paralysis when I was younger but not now that I'm older.

i'm thinking that you were privy to witnessing an aspect of creation
which is "behind the scenes". spiders are creatures which spin webs,
and place patterns in what had been empty space. for us to have
experiences, there are "spiritual spiders" which provide a framework
that is later filled in with "light" (our mind's interaction).

to have felt immobilized may be an indication that you are too set
into a fixed frame of reference for your own comfort.

ok so sleep paralysis is like SUPER LIKELY. but you think witnessing an aspect of creation that is behind the scenes is more likely?

....... I guess you've never heard of occams razor, or just dont believe it lol.

Occam's Razor was spoken of, prominently, in Robert Zemeckis' Contact (1997).
it's sensible to conclude that when all obvious possibilities for an occurrence
have been discounted, then a non-obvious explanation is called for.

'sleep paralysis' offers no insight to witnessing a mysterious spider-like
creature -- my story was merely an attempt to address that aspect of the
event in a non-fearful manner.

You had a strange occurance indeed. Have you tried to mediate on it and ask your higher self for wisdom to understand what it is? It may do the trick.
