Sounds more related to self esteem. I get this is a 'spiritual' forum, but I feel assuming it's a external or 'evil' source outside yourself does more harm than good. We all got negative voices in our head, we just have to learn to control the thought pattern. Takes time and practice.

Not sure if this is any help but maybe this book will help, It's called The Unthethered Soul by Michael Singer. Audio Here. Has to deal with conflicting voices/thought patterns in the mind and how to silence them. I am sure there are better videos but something worth looking into.If you can take one thing away from it, meditation is beneficial to clear the clutter/noise the mind

I'll second Michael Singer's book is a beneficial read. There are destructive compulsive loops of thinking, when it happens just ask it who is saying this? Who is the thinker, and who is the one with the thought.

Reminds me of The African Proverb: "When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you."

I used to have this happen...wanna get rid of it for good?

Voice: "you're only kidding yourself"

Me: "you didn't answer my question, so answer it NOW"
Voice: "I don't have to answer it because you are a loser"

Voice: "sheesh! you are impossible, I give up!"
