Sorry to hear things are getting a bit tough for you or heavy as you say. So things were a bit lighter and then they started to get heavy ? What brought that about do you think ? How did the lightness come about and how did it feel apart from being light of course.

Yes no doubt, recently my father was on his death bed about 3-4 weeks ago and a myriad of strategies
came through my mind. How shall I help him etc. ?What shall I do with my emotions etc. ? And then I remembered
some teachings by Ajahn Sumedho, the way things are. I stopped struggling and accepted that this is the way
things are at this moment. A deep acceptance verging on a very deep peace came over the whole situation, even
the image of him lying there withered away in the bed. It was very effective and it taught me that my presence in
such a situation was enough, hopefully it was a comfort to him that kind of thing.
Lo and behold he is back from the dead  and I helped him this morning to cut the grass etc. The workers in the hospital
especially the cleaners said that he was a miracle and a superman and someone had placed a miraculous medal around his neck
whilst he had been unconscious. Thank you very much for bringing this thread back up too, it was a nice
surprise I had forgotten all about it as you do. Cheers.

And this peace and acceptance is very ‘allowing’ to the good in life. It allows the Higher Power to bring solutions to us, unencumbered by negative thoughts which block them out. |

I'd rather trust in myself that I can bring positive change to my life rather than trusting the universe around me. The universe is simply a tool I use for my own satisfaction and gain and it is, as all things are, to be loved and appreciated as part of my experience.

You sound as if you might have an astronmer's view of the Universe ? If so that is very honorable.
I always associate astronomy with brainy people My brother was into astronomy when we were kids.
It was all Double Dutch to me lol but I wasn't that inclined towards it not that your younger brother would
share these secrets with you. lol
Anyways, on a clear night and with the moon in the sky he would grab his telescope and gaze up at the moon. I remember
seeing the craters for the first time, totally awesome and then a few other curious kids from the neighbourhood would jump
the railings and be amazed at what he was doing in the front garden. Mysterious Universe. Thanks for sharing.
