7 of cups for outcome??

Hey there,
I'm currently feeling stuck in life (especially in my relationship, feeling unhappy, but part of it is my own fault, not doing anything to improve my mental state... Everything is just blehh, I'm not being very positive and kinda gave up on things getting better with my bf, too many things bother me).

Anyway, did a reading to see what I can do to feel happy with my life again and for action needed I got the page of wands and for outcome (if I do the action needed, I take it), I got the 7 of cups? I have no idea how to interpret that! 7 of cups to me is just more confusion, especially in relationships, which I don't want, so why should I take an action that would lead to that?

Could it just mean I should focus on my own happiness and doing actions that will lift my mood, and then I'll be able to see clearer and be better able to know which action to take with regards to my relationship? The 7 of cups still feel like an odd card to get in that position, with that question, though...

You need to push through this woe is me phase and look at the situation clearly so you can fix it. If you do this, you will see clearly, which is the message of the 7 of Cups. Right now, you can't see what's going on because you're so bogged down with your emotions.

Sorry to hear you're going through this difficult time. We've all been there at some time or other, so don't lose heart. It will pass.

The Page of Wands is about taking action - but it's about starting something new, something that inspires you and gets you on the move again (so to speak - although it can be literal too!). So for action needed: you need to take action, to remove yourself from your current position of feeling "yuk".

The 7 of Cups, as well as feeling disillusioned, is about looking at lots of different options, lots of opportunities that are presented in the cups. For outcome: you will realise that you do indeed have a lot of different options to choose from and that you're not as limited as you originally thought. You will then have the power to choose a way out of your "stuck" dilemma and be able to be in a position of feeling more fulfilled.

So I think the message is you need to actively look for something that you would enjoy doing, to get you out of your "slump".

SF ate my post yesterday

I have two things I want to share:

1) I was taught that upright, 7's represent "don't give up" (in contrast to reversed 7's, which represent "don't hang on"). In this instance, the 7 of cups may refer to not giving up that which you truly desire/seek/that which emotionally fulfills you.

2) As much as the straight 'definitions' of tarot cards go, I feel they're only a guide... what did the vibe of the card say to YOU? Sometimes my intuition screams at me that the meaning of a card is different to it's canon definition. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut :)
