animal spirit guide .....
Yesterday in meditation I asked to meet my animal spirit guide. I sat there seeing swirls of purple, changing shapes in my 3rd eye vision. Then all of a sudden, this black cat appears !  It jumped out from behind a bush and kept running ..... across my path.
It took me by complete surprise, I have asked before to meet a spirit guide and nothing usually happens.
It all happened so quickly, I saw it and it ran away.... no time to chat. Was I supposed to have followed it ?

Thank you Shen Y. ! Lots of interesting info regarding the cat as a totem animal. Just a few word connections ....... lol at the patience one ! I have been getting that message quite often recently.

The vision itself is the message that the cat brought to you Adrienne. It suggests, in my experience, that you're avoiding some issue.  |

You saw the cat in your mind's eye? Or that happened in your real life physical environment (assuming you were meditating outside)?

I saw the cat in my mind's eye and he ran from right to left, if that makes a difference.

I was doing a meditation the other day. On nothing specific, just relaxing, letting it happen, as I normally do. I had a brief vision, as all of mine are. In my vision was a cat. It was white, with black spots. I don't usually see animals. So it was kind of a first for me.
I guess it was no accident to see this thread. No coincidences, right?
