Paganism isn't a religion, it's a category that comprises Wicca, Druidism and more. It's easy to do a search for more information using your favorite search engine (Google, etc.).

In a nutshell Paganism isn't a religion unto itself - it's the umbrella term for many religions. Paganism is like the work Christianity - there are many different traditions of Christianity - Catholic, Protestant, Baptist etc. etc. So there are many different traditions of Paganism - Wicca, Shamanism and some Witchcraft traditions.

Most Pagan traditions are polytheistic. As well, most Pagan religions are matriarchal unlike Christianity, Islam and Judaism which are patriarchal; and most revere Nature and the Earth.

Paganism is another word for Polytheism. It's an umbrella term that, under it, are a huge list of religions.
Like how Abrahamic religions have: Christianity, and it's branches. Islam, Judaism, etc.
Polytheism/Paganism is a Nature Based religion.

Not quite - Polytheism and Paganism are not exactly the same thing. The term Polytheism means the belief in and worship/honouring of many gods/goddesses; and Paganism is the umbrella term for many (not just one) religions which are usually polytheistic.

I am a primitive pagan [as Jenny says] . "Paganism" as such does not exist, it is far too diverse to be considered under one classification. Pagan implies an individual set of beliefs and values, however a common thread running through is respect and protection of Nature.
Suggest you think of pagan as the root of a tree with many branches. One of the strongest branches [ in the UK at least ] is Witchcraft or more correctly the Craft of the Witch. Wicca is just the youngest branch.
A word of caution tho'. It is not a subject to be read about and studied, it has to be lived and experienced and it is a long road to travel. But, maybe, the journey is more important than the destination.

I don't like to use "pagan" as it's too much of a label that seems wrongly used. Pagan really means "country dweller" and has nothing to do with the beliefs as such. It's from the Latin word "Paganus" used by Roman soldiers to describe workers on the land, civilians and rustic. Then around medieval times "Paganus" was used by the church to describe peasants that were not yet converted to christianity.

Yeah, respect and reverence for nature would be a key ingredient. So, the word 'Pagan' is not completely valueless.

Has some parallels with folk religion and animistic beliefs, etc.
