Back to the primitive
Do you sometimes wish you were part of a tribe living in nature? I do love technology and comforts of the modern life, but sometimes I wish I could live more simply, away from over-populated areas and all the noise and work. Just hunt, gather and spend most of the day lazily listening to the sounds of nature. Or maybe be a shaman and consume psychedelics as much as I want.

Haha yup totally, being away from the noise, pollution and endless stress. Even though i too love my creature comforts and technology etc...i do wonder if a life in Nature would be a more "real" life...and if it gets boring, why not consume some shrooms and roam the spiritworld, that's the life ! :)

I get transported back to caveman times whenever I sit quietly staring into a lit fireplace. I believe the campfire was the first human television.

For the past two or three months I've been very aware of a small village that seems to be just on the edge of my senses. The village feels like it's in my neighbourhood, but more sort of around on the other side where I can't see it - if that makes any sense to you!
I've always been fascinated by Brigadoon - (not the musical), but the actual legend. It's possible these imaginings stem from this.
Yesterday I realise the cupboard is almost bare. It's Sunday and all the shops I'm buying groceries from are closing. You know that feeling you sometimes might get, like you're out of synch with the world and are having to hurry to catch up.
On my way back home there's a bloke on a bicycle heading towards me on the pavement. I stop to allow him access. As he rides past he smiles to me and says - cheers m'dear ! The very same thing I'd said to a young girl holding the door as I was leaving the building.
Normally I will put this down to an odd coincidence, only the bloke on the bicycle was not from around here. How do I know this ? Because of his farmers' cheekbones. You know the type - ruddy with summer sunshine.
Well that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

A life without technology does not mean, it has to be primitive. I believe once people start remembering and becoming more aware spirituality, technology is ether going to advance (By 1000's of years) or become almost obsolete. Currently right about now, money and technology to a certain extent limits us and enslaves us.......(Money definitely enslaves us, is behind most of the world's evils).

Yes you are right. I have limited time and am sometimes anxious to post so I dont think it through. But I would rather say that current distribution of money is evil.

I like the sound of staring into the fireplace.
I have my noise free environment right here at home.
Not sure I can live without my creature comforts.

So, so, so many times I've had the thought, "I should just leave everything. I should get myself a covered wagon, become a gypsy, and roam the countryside making money by performing readings and selling crafts."
I've also often wished I could join some sort of tribe or small community and enjoy the simple life. On the whole, I think technology greatly distracts us from the important things in life. Less is more :)

Agree! Lol... was thinking about all the times I've been fascinated by the Hare Krishna groups. Even as a young lass, looking on in amazement and wondering ... 'what if I joined them', 'what would it take?', 'what would life be like?'
