Good AP Methods/Techniques?
while practicing AP last night I got the closet that ive ever been to getting a lucid dream! I was in my room, light wouldn't turn on, so I asked my dad to turn it on for me and he did, as soon as it came on I awoke! dang it! but right now I would like to know any methods for AP that would get me further into practicing AP or hopefully get me out of body tonight. I usually get to the vibrations, and sometimes feel like im starting to float up but I think that's just me physically doing it im not sure. I would try techniques to get out of body like the rope technique, imagining your floating up, creating your limbs, rolling out, imaging my room/things in my room, But nothing seems to work! Please help me if you have any ideas on what I maybe doing wrong.

My older poorer way
Wake up at 2am...........quickly move to the couch and go to sleep with the TV on while concentrating on flying. Once the third eye kicks in roll out and explore
My method now is no different than anything on the net (breath, relax muscles, focus, etc..) but for awhile I did it the above way and it worked. Might be enough to get you out once so you can experience it but I wouldn't recommend it long term. Projections were much shorter and chaotic since my mind was all revved up, lol. My sleep patterns started to get pretty weird too...

Cultivation of large amounts of patience, and an endless amount of determination and perseverance. Truth be told, the most important part of learning to AP is dedicating yourself to AP practices with the understanding that it may be quite some time before you actually AP. No matter how much knowledge and advice you are given, you'll only be able to do so when you have experience.
People tend to get hung up on the carrot at the end of the stick. But the reason the carrot is on the stick is so that you can't simply take it when you please.
Which I'll admit is not the answer most people are looking for. But in your case it seems like you're close, so that is a positive. and the effort isn't for nothing. It has many uses outside of AP. Single minded focus on a goal alone is quite the essential trait nowadays.

If nothing seems to work try to spiritually get out of your body. That is what I do. You do it quickly. Otherwise it can become harder to do.

You move yourself. It feels like you are physically moving but you are spiritually moving. It takes practice. Once you can do it, it is a great skill to have.

I tried everything without luck, Robert Bruces techniques eg Rope and others. I tried for a very long time and every day (I was working on this stuff or reading OBE stuff 3 hrs per day). I even went to a paid class with an OBE expert in the hope that would help.
What finally did it for me is the astral projection program in a book by Denning and Phillips called "Astral Projection", The Out-of-Body Experience. This book got me within weeks due to the energy raising, chakra technique.

I find lucid dreaming easier.

Hello, first you don't need any kind of substance that may jeopardize your health, also never disturb your sleep patterns so badly. You may try to wake up 2 hours early and go back to sleep immediately, you may feel the Sleep paralysis and start the astral projection technique, like the robe, levitating, etc.
You could try a Dream Diary as a first step, once you can recall all your night activity as lucid dreams and stuff, you can remember the involuntary astral projections, trust me all humans have been projected many times in their lives.
The second step is the most important, you need to get your energy high. In order to achieve this you need a health diet, all the groups of food in correct balance, then you need the health of your mind, sessions of meditation to achieve focus and concentration, health in your emotions, no fear, sadness, anger, anxiety, NO STRESS at all.
Try to sing the mantra OM for 10 minutes a day, this always have helped me to project, somehow the energy increase with this mantra.
Repeat in your mind some affirmations before trying to project like -body sleep, mind awake- or "I'm going to astral project now'.
