Do we forget about those left behind.

Well , The evidence suggests that the realm of love and light is quiet blissful and without a care.

Further upon re incarnating there's that infernal hard drive reformatting.

I should state at this point that I have no plans currently to be off and away, but do realize that I have cultivated in this life strong bonds of love, It would be a terrible shame to relinquish those bonds of love upon transition from material to ethereal. Yes I have told some folk that I will always love them, but how can I guarantee that when a bond has between it the veil that hangs between corporeal and non corporeal.

I only ask because in this life there are those who I never wish to stop loving and it pains me to think that may have to in order for creation to continue it's recycling.

It doesn't really answer my question , so I guess you cannot remember. No worries there though because I cannot remember either (only occasionally a glimpse here a hint there) Hence my question.

If goodbyes are hard, it's usually because there's a strong bond. Hopefully you have more positive relationships with happy, fulfilling, loving memories to always be grateful for, and not the negative kind of relationship where it's hard to say goodbye because there's unresolved issues, guilt or pain.

Hello

(I would like to believe loving ties are eternal, though I am sure different in nature once we're off this Earthly plane -- I believe I was romantically involved with my father and one of my sons in other lives...and no, I don't have any of these type of feelings for them here -- but, I struggle with..."Is this just my belief? My desire? Or does love truly transcend all time and space?"

Me too, very much so in fact. Almost it is a need, I do so hope it is not irrational.

I am unable to dismiss a life as just a fleeting manifestation of creation in action when it is in fact creation become manifest all be it fleetingly. It's all to do with the wording and the context I suppose. But surely the highest expression of creation is to become manifest in whatever form, and we do see a kind of Love in the form attraction in animate bodies for their very existence, gravitational cycles, sun and moon .. in fact all kinds of symbiosis far too legion to mention here, though granted one would not quantify as it Love necessarily it remains an essential relationship without which the other could not be... Oh OK I answered my own question almost.

We revere the loved and lost, perhaps we keep them , or at least their memory tethered. My part of the question is that when I return to spirit , I wish to maintain the bonds of Love I have cultivated in this life absolutely.

Neville, I believe the love will always be there. I also believe there are ways to still communicate with those loved ones on the Other Side , and there are times when the veil is so thin, one can almost reach out and touch someone... so I believe and have experienced.

Thank you Dream Angel, I was too busy editing my response to muileag to keep up with the pace of this thread.

I am pretty sure on this side of the thing a loved one is only ever a thought away. My concern is that once we are sat in those sunlit meadows of the Summerland we don't care a monkey's any more, because I feel given the special bonds we form in one life time that, that would be a criminal waste.

I know already..My brain does have some strange questions occur to it.

I am also slammed into submission by the evident fact that we are only ever creation doing what creation does and that an individual love might well be as fleeting as the time that we possess that Love.

I am thinking of my Children and Grand Children of course, that time when this body fails, I'd like to be able to say..I will love you forever and mean it as opposed to being not entirely confident in such an assertion.

I don't know the answer to the question. I do remember people I left behind though, anyone of any significance to me anyway.

I think there is a good deal of emotional investment in any meaningful relationship, so parting ways is a difficult time. True to say that memory lives on, though.

I believe love transcends space and time. It's already there inside people.

I think this song explains it well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcU57tAKzng
