UK Gov't about to target "esoteric Internet"?!

I feel like taking Mr Cameron's gang, and all others like them and hanging them all upside-down for a little while till all the money falls out of their pockets.

and....

What, may I ask, has "esoteric material" got to do with any form of protective web-censorship?

Beware.....

I don't know, there is a lot of so called esoteric stuff that's only out to get your money, so i'll have to find out more about it before making my mind up.

What does money have to do with anything? The same could be said about car comercials. If somebody finds esoteric information valuable and worth spending money on it, then what is the problem?

I guess they don't care about freedom of speech in the UK. I wonder what other freedoms the British are apathetic about?

Oh yes I agree, but there is a lot out there proclaiming to give you everything you wish for, such as astrology, they sit there and tell you anything for a price, but I myself ain't against it, if people want to wast their money then they should have the right to do so.

You've heard the expression, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I do think it's scary that there is some truth to this story. I personally have no idea why the British government would have the unmitigated gaul and audacity to attack esoteric literature. It seems very feindish to me.

I'm on two astrological sites, they are free.

I have no doubt that this would be planned on a larger scale than just the UK. They probably just test the waters by trying it on a smaller populace before taking it worldwide. According to that article, it is to happen before the end of the year...

Because it's the kind of knowledge that was suppressed for millenia, and would be for the same reason now - power and control. I'm sure that the people that are behind this would avail of esoteric knowledge plenty themselves, in secret of course.

psychoslice, I hope you do not mean to trivialise this. What it's about is people's freedom to communicate online, which currently we all take for granted.

Yes that is so true. There is also some psychically dangerous stuff, some b/s, much misinformation, as well as people out to make bucks off innocent others.
But the problem is, the "esoteric" is a very big umbrella.
It would indeed be weird and scary if UK people were blocked from accessing internet forums which discussed spiritual interests.
This may even include alternative healing etc....who knows what the Government's ideas are?

It is indeed audacious and somewhat fiendish.
And has anyone seen P.M. D.C.'s face recently? It seems to have swelled up a bit.....He looks different. Maybe just eaten too many doughnuts....
