Who here drinks wheatgrass?
I have for over a year now. I drink about 1oz three to four times a week. One ounce I've heard is equal to 2 pounds of green veggies. I find it gives me energy. I've heard it cleanses you of toxins, increases your sex drive, increases your metabolism, increases the oxygen content in your blood, helps your immune system.
Anyone else know other benefits?

Hi Spiritlite, I have always wanted to try the wheat grass but never really got into it, how much grass would you need to make enough for a week and also do you have to use one of those expensive machines to extract the juice, thanks.  |

Oh I don't do it myself, I go to my local coop and just get it made fresh right there because I don't have the time or money to buy those machines, grow my own wheatgrass or buy it then clean the machine etc. I pay about 2.10 for an ounce of wheatgrass at my coop and I feel it's well worth it, I never buy coffee so that's my "coffee" my wheatgrass is my coffee.

Yea I see what you mean, it does turn out cheap if you do it that way but is three one once glasses enough for the week ?.

I don't know if three times a week is enough but it feels right to me. Some people do it everyday. You have the option of one or two ounces, go slow please. I would suggest if you are a beginner to do one ounce every other day for a month then up it to everyday if you wish.
also I take mine on an empty stomach and drink a little water after I drink it
and surprisingly it really doesn't taste that bad.

Yea I will, I am a vegetarian and do eat a lot of green stuff but yea, the wheat grass is like concentrated and like you said it gives one plenty of energy, I'll let you know how I go. |
