Just A Question...
What does awakened mean to you? Seems like everyone has a different definition....

"Awakened" means to become aware. So for someone to experience a spiritual awakening they'd shift from not believing in spiritual concepts to becoming aware of their existence as the truth rather a myth. |

Well for me, I would say that being "spiritually awakened" means that something has happened to you (in your life) that has made you really think and question your beliefs/what you thought you knew. Then suddenly you realize that your beliefs have changed - what you thought you knew is no longer comfortable....and you emerge ("awaken") into a new way of thinking and being. Like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, or a phoenix rising from the ashes of the past. And for whatever reason - the change is perfectly OK - it feels natural and almost like a relief (at least to me it did!) - like a weight has lifted off your shoulders, and you can carry on with greater clarity.....

A nice definition Sesheta. In keeping with the wild life, I would add a "like a snake shedding its skin". There is a real feeling of breaking through something or out of something - a growth progession like a leaf budding out. |

Absolutely correct. The reality perspective of each person is unique to them. Some day this information will be taught in our educational systems. |

Does anyone ever think that one can decide not to "Awaken", or choose not to?? For example, for most of us, our TF's/SC's aren't "Awakened", so do you think it would really make a difference if they were "Awakened"??If so please elaborate....

I don't know if it's so much as making a choice not to awaken as it is fear. I fully believe you can be awakened and choose to go back into darkness, turn away from spirituality, in a way because of things that happen to you too. I say this because of my own personal experience. He was soooo spiritual and awakened when we met. He knew what I was, what our connection was, about LOA and manifestation, had been given visions and such from a very early age. I had had some psychic abilities, esp, visions, but was very damaged from many things in life so I held up a wall to him and many of the things I now celebrate! I awakened when he left and he I feel closed off the spiritual side of him and his beliefs, he's even said that too.
So yes, in a way I suppose we could choose not to awaken and see what is. What you resist persists if you will?

Mine WAS awakened.. he tried to show me, but I didn't get it until he was already gone. Now I believe he has fallen back into darkness.
