What Does It Mean?
What does it mean when a person takes a picture and in the picture they have the index finger over their mouth?

An important figure did this but, I am wondering about the hidden meaning?

Like that? It can mean different things. The Greeks saw depictions of that child (Horus the child) and saw him as shushing or indicating silence - but in original Egyptian art it meant childhood. So index finger to mouth can mean all kinds of things. Go with the meaning that strikes a cord with you.

Listen to your spirit, of which the higher self is part. Funnily enough, I was given this exact gesture some months ago and for me it meant I had to listen to my own inner wisdom... listen within.
