Contacting someone else's guides?

I've never actually tried it although thinking about it. My question is do you need the person's permission to contact their guides?

Also do your guides talk to other people's guides on your behalf and just in general as well?

Interesting questions ~ I have heard of people talking to someone elses Guardian Angel, guess that would be similar to talking to someone's Spirit Guide. I don't think you need the person's permission if you are asking ( via the Spirit Guides ) for something that you think may be of help to the person.

Looking forward to hearing other replies in answer to your questions.

I do it, I can ask the persons higher self for permission, but usually I like to ask the person directly.......and I can see others guides or Angels if they want to be known to that person only....otherwise I can't see them.....I have more difficulty in seeing my own......i can sense them more than 'see' them.....
And......I always ask my guides to ask anothers guides (ie my husbands for example) to get them to see reason

, or help them through something.....

I’m fairly sure that guides use their own judgment about what do do when contacted by others about the person whey are the guide for. I’ve got doubts as to whether the function of guides is to influence us in this manner (for another).

I agree with mattie, too. Guides usually know who to "let in," so to speak. Also, if the person you're reading for gives his/her permission, that should be fine, too.

I know when I connect, I usually just connect to the sitter's soul/higher self and then get Spike to connect me with the guides. I'm sure he does a better job of informing them what exactly it is I want to do...

As long as the intention is pure, you shouldn't have a problem.

Although - there may be times when you're blocked. This happened to me when I did a guide portrait for a younger individual. A 15-year-old. It literally felt as though I was being obstructed, and it was quite clear the guides were telling me, "Not yet." So there are limits...

Agree with Evaah and Mattie. If they don't want to talk to you Colhad.. They won't. :)

My guides talk to other people's guides a lot. Some of the information I give a client is based on this. Sort of like counselors discussing a patient and what they feel my client should look into or go forward to that will help them in their growth. Sometimes spirit families will give me this information too, but a lot of times, it's my client's guides as well.
