What are angels?

Can anyone explain to me what angels are? are we talking about it in the biblical sense? I've heard lots of people saying i need to call upon my angels when i ask my house to be cleansed but don't know who i'm asking!

Angels are beings centered around healing. They often help people find their path through life. These would be personal angels or guides. Their healing may be focused on those in need or on the earth itself.
As stated above angelic beings exist in a different form then we do, and are generally not perceived with the physically. those who are aware of them may see them in their minds eye, feel their touch, or hear their 'voice' in the for of a thought that runs through their mind. Some people may also experience emotions or seance energy from angels.
While angels usually bring to mind Christianity, they are associated with a number of different spiritualities, and cultures. Angelic beings appear in some forms of Islam, and are depicted on temple ruins from ancient Egypt and Babylon.
If you are fortunate enough to encounter an angel, keep in mind that they will have their own views about how the universe works. But whatever their leanings, they are their to help.

The angelic exist on all levels. They are not light and not dark.
They assist all entities and being on their path back to source.

Everywhere in the universe there is life. It does not necessarily exist in the form we are familiar with. Living entities are everywhere and vibrate at different frequencies. Angels are beings of a higher vibration and they are concerned for our well being. Therefore angels are not something that is part of a particular religion or culture. They are found everywhere, so it is not surprising that they are found in the events of the bible. Generally the influence people in an undetectable way. They will only reveal themselves to person who have a high vibration, explaining why they appear in the bible and Qur'an and other spiritual events, since these events are dealing with saintly people who have a very high vibration.

You can also become an Angel in your next life if you perform certain activities in this life and accumulate the right karma. Angels are also mortal, however, but live much longer than us and possess far greater physical and physic abilities

Angels are a special species or race of spiritual beings that exist within the divine realms. They have never or usually don't take on human form and remain close to God. Angels evolve differently from us. They say the more we praise our guides and angels the more they evolve and grow and vice versa with us. A human soul over many lifetimes can actually graduate into the Angelic kingdom and become a type of Angel. It all depends on the soul's trajectory. But Angels are usually a different being all together from us.

The angelic are neither a race nor a species, and yes they do incarnate, since they evolve like any other entity, and if they often choose to use the incarnation cycle to move to the next level, then of cause they need to incarnate, only they return to the angelic realm between incarnations and not to the astral realm.

Angels can be a lot of things now in days, but in the past angels were simple emotionless drones, that maintained the cosmos which allowed the creator to focus on greater works. In fact each angel's true name is related to the task for which it was designed to do. Unfortunately, it seems with time angels started to take on the emotions that they were never suppose to have.

There are other beings, given free will that bear the emotions of the universe. Their purpose being simply to maintain and propagate that emotion throughout the universe.
