Am I suppose to know my past lives?

Sounds to me that even if you were a bad person in a previous life you have seen the error of your ways and repented. I think thats all that matters. Remember the story of the lost sheep. God will love you now dispite any past if you go to him with an open and humble heart. Bless you. x

Not true. Past lives can hold karmic energy, in that the choices you made in that past life, have effected your present life, knowing who you were in a past life, and the choices you made could help remove bad karmic energy.

I have found comfort in learning about my past lives. On days when I find little of value in myself, I can remind myself of times when I had cause to be proud, for what I fought for and for what I died for. Not every life was a worthy one nor every act a good one, and I see some personal faults that have followed me and led me into the same end again and again. This safe cozy life I live now because of where I was born, have given me some opportunities I never had before but also deprived me of others I always had before. So I will make out of this life what I can, but I treasure knowing what else I was, what choices I made, when the setting was different. I have been hundreds of people, my mind has expanded, but my heart has followed me and seems to be the same as in that earliest life I know of.

Have no fear of learning about your previous lives. You stood then for the same basic core values as you do today.
