I feel this song belong in here.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Hi LightAngel, Spending time in nature rejuvenates me. The rustling leaves, the scent of earth after rain, and the warmth of sunlight—they heal my spirit. I try to be in nature a bit everyday :)

I recall going for a long beautiful autumnal walk seeing many golden and copper leaf shades, I was very elated coming back to the town just after sundown, but then I sat down on a bench under the streetlights and glanced at the river, full oe affluent and debris, 'man!' I thought, thinking it was companies and other individuals 'but what to do?'
Tears came then a voice came to me telling me I was responsible(at fault) for it, and I made a promise to nature and myself I would do something, dedicate my life to stop this terrorism against nature.
That was over forty years ago and I have hardly done a thing to help, time I pulled my finger out!

Nature is essential to me. Unfortunately, I had to recently take down my 10-foot birdfeeder. A pair of gorgeous, very large Sandhill cranes visited the feeder. I was beyond excited. Got some great photography. But then a few days later one of them returned, seeing its reflection in the 3 basement windows, it punched out all three window screens. Then the next day a very large coyote just sauntered through the yard right by my kitchen window. The ground squirrels and chipmunks are destroying the garden because they are attracted to the yard due to the bird feeder. We have racoons and possum that feast at the feeder at night, digging at seed that has fallen to the ground. And at late, a pair of wild turkeys had 12 babies and won't leave the yard.

Deer are beautiful, but when they visit the feeder, they bring ticks with them. I love all the wildlife of every kind, well maybe not the coyote so much, but the bird feeder is attracting them all to the yard because of the food chain. I'm sad I'm no longer feeding the birds, but at least I still have my birdbath.
