Romans 12 -
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

Colossians 3 -
"Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth"

Now, either of the above could be seen in the context of Far Eastern teachings as well. True?
Yeah probably. I guess the only way to know for sure is if you do it and it works. There is a lot of depression, people here talk about it all the time. I think a mix of spiritual practice and professional help would probably work for it.

O yes, to me it does seem to fit into Far Eastern teaching. You are quoting from St Paul and many things he said do fit into the Far East teachings, and a great many of the Teachings of Jesus sound about as Zen as Zen can get. "When East meets West, the world gains wholeness" ~ Mayflow ~ :-)

Has nothing to do with the “early developed portion of the human brain” if you’re saying Jesus proved the devil isn’t real, or just a figment of human imagination, sorry but you’re wrong, And Jesus NEVER confirm it. Jesus proved the devil was very REAL. And it‘s many not just ONE, (Luke8:26-39,demons who called themselves legion had entered a mans body causing him frighten people). Jesus was even tempted by satan ,(Matt.4:1-Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil).

Those fallin angels are here ON earth, attacking humans, (Rev.12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time). And (1Pet.5:8- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, seeking whom he may devour). Not meaning ONLY physically, but making them believe lies with tricks ,(Ephe.6:11 -Put on the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles, (tricks), of the devil).

He blinds many to the truth ,(2Cor.4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them). Yes!…even if many refuse to believe NO pres., or king runs this earthly show, they just THINK they do. Satan and his demons are very real, This world belongs to satan! peace

Yes, jojo, all of those things are correct. But, regarding all the information we have today availalbe to us, we can see these things in a dualistic sense, or as in all things United, in God.

Ultimately, there is Unity in God, Who, as Pauls stated...
"In whom we live, and move, and have our being."

Now, with respect to the thread title, we might think of the illustrations of the devil on one shoulder of an individual, and the angel on the other.

We might consider also what physics is telling us tody about the nature of the material world.
How, it isn't as real as we percieve, especially in comparison with the greater reality and Truth of the Spirit, and of, Eternity, apart from time.

"Time and Space are modes in which we think, and not conditons in which we live."
Einsten

Also, what caused Lucifer to rebel in the Bible, but, "Ego"?
We might see how Ego is related to the survival instincts of the carnal, "animal/mammal", aspects, in humanity.
The cause of all the world's problems.

Did Jesus deny Ego?
Did the disciples? Concerning what you stated about devils, and demons...also,

Jesus stated to Peter that concerning His church, that the, "Gates of Hell", would not prevail against it.

We should be reminded that, "Gates", are a defensive measure, not offensive.
They will not withstand the force of the Gospel, and, the Good News.
The Light overcomes the darkness.
