Yep White Shaman...I looked it up online. The singer is Alanis Morisette.
I didn't get the lyrics exactly right either...but the feel was on!

I thought it was meredith brooks myself, but it does sound like one of Alanis songs as well... Meredith has one similar, I guess.
Ah, let me think of something nice about me for today...
I stop for snakes in the road, and turtles, even to the point of getting them off the road. For the snakes, I take out an umbrella or snow brush and coax them off the road from the inside of my car lol! I slow down for birds in the road or flying giving them extra seconds to get out of the way. I swerve for frogs and toads on rainy nights...(even worms for that matter, if at all possible)...

Ah...gotcha' Gracey! Wonder why when I googles it all that came up was Alanis...too bad Meredith doesn't get more credit.
