The thing this commentary taught me about this statement is the minds nature is to focus on something so a way to subdue it is to focus it on the lord

Yes, my friend.

If I were to choose only one verse from the Gita that summed up the whole essence of its teachings, it would have been the one I just quoted. It's the quintessential one for me.

I never actually studied the Gita - read it three times, but like Vinayaka, it's not a part of my sampradaya.

Still, much wisdom within those pages.

Yes, no more need to study any further!
This is the Truth.
I am fixated on Him....He is fixated on me.
As I have said before, He is the moth, our love and focus on Him is the lure.
He can not resist.

Ch8 v14, did I already post this, LOL! so what, right?

O Arjuna! He who constantly meditates on Me,
absorbed in Me, thinking of nothing else, is the true yogi,
and for him, I am easily attainable.

I cry when I read these...my heart is in pain at the beauty of these Truths.

I read this on these forums:

As the mighty wind, which is everywhere, dwells eternally
in space; so know clearly that in the same manner,
all beings dwell in Me.

Sorry don't know where this is located in the Gita:

"I am always with all beings;
I abandon no one. And however great
your inner darkness, you are never separate from Me".

I don't think that exact quote is anywhere in the Gita.
