Do some christians believe we are just as capable of being as powerful as jesus?

ANYONE who feels this way, really need to get close to Jesus Father Jehovah God ,(Exo. 6:3). MANY would say that's NOT true, but it was Jesus who said his Father sends us to Jesus ,(John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day). this is when we'll learn the truth, because Jesus teaches us ALL that his Father wanted us to know ,(John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you).

sadly if you believe an imperfect human, can become just as powerful, as an PERFECT Jesus. satan has truly blinded you, (2Cor.4:4), because he knows this way of think, will get us destroyed. NOW... concerning certain miracles Jesus did. yes there were MANY men who had that gift. but NOT just anyone could have it, AND NOT ALL Christians will have it. it's just the ones Jesus and Jehovah God chooses. but don't be fooled by what many WANTS to believe, satan can ALSO make people believe certain things they THINK... they're doing is from God. when it's actually from satan , for example...

Acts 16:16-18 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying. The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour, (she wasn’t sent by God, though she meant no harm, She was sent by satan).

this girl was NOT a true servant of Jehovah God and follower of Jesus. because if she were, she wouldn't have been indulging in ANY form of divination, (being to have knowledge of the future, through supernatural means). this was satan who had her speaking ,(though Good!), about those guys. her, master was also making a profit by means of this. so we have to be care believing we can have the Power Jesus had/has. peace

This, after it was revealed she was errant in "intuiting" that one of the captive girls in Chicago was dead.
Who was discovered alive.

Can you define amazing things, being powerful?

Jesus/God works through every positive and good and has indeed 'created' the amazing things that occur through Man!

God created all the skills and talents and gave His Blessings and Gifts for His Children to be Healers, Cleaners, Garbage collectors, Street sweepers, Carers, Doctors, Specialists, Nurses, Engineers, officers of Law and Order (where He deems it in His Will), Carpenters, tradespeople, Teachers, Ship Captains, Pilots, and every other profession 'for His Children to open up their Hearts to Him for His Divine Love Wisdom and Guidance (not Man's) if it be in His Will.

All of the God/good that flows through people who present amazing things all come from Jesus/God,

Man fails to acknowledge or see this on many occasions,
