I'm like that.

And yes, I can imagine people's shock when they get to the Other Side.
A First Christian Church pastor said to me once, "Boy, is Oral Roberts
going to be surprised when he sees alot of homosexuals in Heaven!"

Another book for you, Jim, "A World Beyond" by Ruth Montgomery.
(Really written by Arthur Ford, deceased medium friend of hers!!! Took over her fingers while she was typing, saying, "Hi Ruth. This is Art.")

I'm single, near-sighted, , it wasn't inappropriate, and yes it's a great city.

And I'll have to check out that Ruth Montgomery book.

Wasn't she the one who developed or promoted the "walk-in" theory (that souls sometimes reincarnate in the bodies of living adults: as what allegedly occurred with Tuesday Lobsong Rampa?

I remember the day my husband experienced travelling through the tunnel.
On the operating table, while his heart was being checked out,he found himself travelling slowly through a tunnel made of colours.
These colours were the colours of the rainbow.
He felt peace and love like no other before.
The tunnel was broad and soft feeling, the colours were revolving slowly around him.
He saw no one up the tunnel until near the end,he saw a bright light with a figure there.
Could not make out what the figure was.
Suddenly he woke up and found himself in the recovery room, with a nurse holding his hand.
Apparently, his heart had failed during the operation,so the op was stopped and he was removed to the recovery room.
From that minute on,he had no fear of physical death.
He passed from cancer several years later brought me proof two weeks after he passed.
By the sound of his voice in my ear.

That's beautiful, DS.

That was the beginning of a near-death experience. And it wasn't your husband's time to go.

That's why I mentioned Art really wrote this book - Ruthie sometimes didn't have the best reputation.
I don't know about the above ques. tho.

Art is great.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

No,it wasn't,Jim.
That was in the late 90's,he passed in 2006.
But then again he was a believer in spiritualism and was a good medium.
The year after we married,he forecast near enough the year of his death.
He was 4 years out,he gained another 4 years over the date he forecast.

It's funny what people say about death. I always remember my father saying that "after 50, you're living on borrowed time." It always used to annoy me when he said it: as if we should all be dead by 50.

Then I came to realize that it was really an understatment: in reality, everyone lives every minute of their life on "borrowed time": no one is guaranteed or "due" even a minute.

Funniest thing is that he never had to borrow any, by his own formula: he died at 49.

I sometimes wonder, now, if he had a feeling about this while he was alive?

Could have been a slight feeling or premonition.
But not aware of it at that time.

Why 50 years? Usually we make that remark around 60's or 70's.

Referring back to the conversation about what shape we have after death, here's this from a story at NDERF.org...

I was suddenly in this black void and a sparkling happy light came zooming at me extremely fast. It was kind of like seeing a star shining bright and within less than a second it was enormous and right in front of me. It was sparkling and happy like those sparklers kids have at 4th of July...extremely energetic and bright.

It didn't speak to me but it transmitted to me a "want to come with me?" message. I am very adventurous so I said yes and together we travelled at the speed of light into a galaxy of bright lights and I knew that all of them were souls or spirits and that each one was a point of light that was another being.

I stayed there awhile until I understood how there were so many galaxies and stars and that they all were alive like entities and that I was probably another point of light. I had no awareness of having a body, I just felt like I could move anywhere I wanted as if I were a light particle or something.

I went back out into the galaxies and knew that I only had to think about anything and I would be there.

That's what he always said. And in his case, that's how it worked out.
