Has anyone ever noticed?

I have heard many people claim they hate God or don't believe in God because he hurts people. I have heard them say that if God so loves the world, why does he create earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters which claim the lives of millions of innocent people?

Whenever someone starts beating on another person in the street or other public place, it seems to generate a crowd of people who cheer them on. Not often does anyone intervene or do they try to mediate a civil solution. The same is said when one country declares war upon another. Many of said country's soldier's are all too willing to comply out of patriatism. (Take Hitler for example, and how many people followed his command even if it went against their own ethics.) I guess what I'm trying to say is when man commits violence against man, the rest of the world stands by and watches it unfold over the evening news. People feel powerless to do anything to stop it or they just don't care. 'It's not ME...right?' People are always so quick to stand behind their political leaders and point their finger at the other guy.

But has anyone ever noticed that whenever and wherever there is a natural disaster that claims the lives of thousands to millions of people, the WHOLE WORLD comes together in LOVE to give what they can, be it their time, money, food, shelter,...anything to aid the surviving victims of said disaster? They feel a great need and have the power to help these people. The love comes from everywhere and is unconditional. It happens every time. Has anyone ever noticed? It is the love of GOD shining through mankind as it was meant to, in an effort to show humanity that;... "This is who you are, because this is who I AM." The lives seemingly 'taken' through such lessons are not lost. They are the Saints who have chosen to participate in teaching the world these lessons in LOVE. It is right that we remember them. Without this DIVINE intervention, mankind would never know how to love, as we would be too busy killing each other.

Generalizations Don't Apply To All

Those who are upset about natural disasters have unrealistic expectations about (the energies called) God, negating the existence of this energy because bad things happen. Using the same flawed logic, one could also say that anyone gets sick or that anything bad happens is proof God doesn’t exist. Natural events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes, etc. are the planet’s way of making NEEDED adjustments, not a deity punishing humanity. Natural disasters generating empathy for others & a coming together is useful.

Curious view about soldiers as well as using the Hitler example to represent militaries in general. It isn’t as much patriotism as to why soldiers comply w/ their leaders’ orders, but this is the job they signed up for. Their making an arbitrary decision about their instructions isn’t part of their job except in very extreme circumstances. In the 2nd paragraph there are some generalizations made about people that certainly don’t apply to everyone. Many don’t feel powerless or uncaring.

Very dim view of humanity. Many feel that what is called God’s love is something that is available innately in us & able to be generated ABUNDANTLY by all of us. That humanity is ‘busy killing each other’ is an overstatement that applies to a fairly small percentage of the population.
