may be you will find this illogical but indians have a great astronomical knowledge and lots of scintific reasons for every single act or rituals done in various functions.
wearing different stones is due to one of these reasons .

I do not find this illogical. Vedic astrology goes back thousands of years. There are days, colours and gemstones associated with each of the planets used in Vedic astrology plus the Sun and the Moon. However, people may end up performing rituals because they are traditional, without always understanding the reasons behind such rituals.
