To me 'true seeker' just means someone who is genuinely on a spiritual path. Over the years I have encounted many fakes and posers, who talk a lot of spiritual talk in order to lord it over other people. Also people who read a lot and think that they understand on spiritual level what they have read.

I'm refering to people who pay their spiritual journey more than lip service. Going to church on Sunday, or memorizing the Quran does not make a person spiritual, necessarily. Ultimately everyone is on a spiritual journey. A true seeker is someone who KNOWS that, and chooses to become an active participant in that process.

Good to know that this solitude is a common trait of the spiritual walk. I actually prefer solitude, its freedom. In groups I feel my freedom reduced. I have been in many many religious groups, meditation groups, and it held no benefit for me. I felt annoyed actually. I'd rather resonate with an individual or two rather than a large group. I do not like my voice to be drowned in a crowd.
