herein lies my problem
with the whole
"turn to dust" thing
it's most often used to
simply dismiss the base intimacy
of our current experience
the subtext being
"fret not, it all turns to dust"
a most popular assertion
that has long haunted the
"spiritual community"*
(* spiritual community as defined by those sharing
their impressions on what spiritually 'may' be... I'm currently 56 years
old and have been watching this process closely since the age of 16)
so if it all turns to dust then why bother?
we then give 'tacit' acceptence to what's
currently on our plates
but in the back of our minds
we dismiss it as not real...
accepting such is a clear form of displacement
...and yet the "moment" is pregnant
with "all that is"
it's these filters that we adopt
that then get in the way
some things are worth letting go of....
and picturing a vague endpoint of nothingness
at the end
is one of those
I understand the spirit in which you approach
the understandings you express
and easily agree with your core warm intent
it's this thing about being distracted
by being anywhere else but here
there's little that's truly effective
that will come of that....
