Runes saying odd things... please help!

Ok, I recently made my own set of runes, not very well I might add but they are serviceable and I feel I understand them far better than I would if I bought a set.

I should probably say that my usual approach is to ask a question repeatedly in a variety of subtly different ways, because if the answer to 'will my mother change her mind about letting me do this' comes out as Isa (I'd take that as a no to change), but is accompanied by Wunjo, I'll ask 'is my mother currently intending to let me do this' and get back Tiwaz, which from my runes means either victory or YES. This happened, and then my mother let me do it :)

It came into my head the other day to ask about a guy I've liked for about 6 months now. I have recently found out whilst trying to tell him this that he's gay, so gave up on the idea of anything coming of it. I was asking about his life generally, and strange things started to come up.

I started to change the focus of the question to try and understand what the runes that didn't seem to fit in were telling me. They led back to a message which seemed to be: tell him the truth and things will change for the better, you will have a relationship. The answer to any attempt to discern the time this may last seems to be negative runes, coupled with some relating to endurance or patience, but I have a strong feeling this is me being told to 'wait and see' or 'go with the flow and find out'.

Does anyone have any advice for what this could mean? I don't honestly believe anything will or can change, but the results of every attempt to divine some kind of explanation are the same. The message from the runes seems clear, but I just want some third-party input before I do anything rash and end up in a mess...

Hi Kalix.... I am pretty new to runes but I thought I would give it a shot...First let me say that I think you need to go with your instincts:

The relationship part could just be a really good friend...who knows? but the negative reading may be, its not good for you to wait for him for a gf/bf relationship.

I agree with scorpiowitch66: go with your instincts. Tell him the truth and something good may come of it. Most importantly, keep an open mind, free (as much as possible), of "expectations".
