Elsewhere, he speaks of the holy Word as the "living water," the water that springs up into "everlasting life" (John 4: 10, 14).
Jesus speaks of himself as the "bread of life," the "living bread" come down from heaven; and asks his disciples to eat "the flesh of the son of man, and drink his blood," for without these, "ye have no life in you" (John 6).
These in brief are the essential teachings of Christ, the Master Christian, but not of institutional Christianity. Most of the Christian doctrines were formulated not by Jesus but by St. Paul, who turned Christ into the sacrificial lamb to atone for the sins of the world, and around this central idea, as borrowed from Judaism and the cults flourishing around the Mediterranean at that time, there has grown a mass of ritual and ceremony.
The tenets of Christ remain as excellent moral precepts and doubtlessly point the way to the inner realization, but cannot in themselves put the seeker on the Path of realization, for they now lack the living impulse and the pulsating touch of the teacher, who having completed the job assigned to him in his own time, cannot now initiate and lead the people and make Truth real to them by bringing them face to face with Reality. Of all the mystical teachings of Christ, we now find but the symbolic lighting of candles in the churches and the ceremonial ringing of the big bell at the time of service. Few, if any, know the real significance behind these rituals, which are the outward representations of the twin principles of Light and Sound, or the primordial manifestations of the Godhead, responsible for all that exists in the Universe, seen and unseen. Some of the great church dignitaries, when asked, say that the bell is pulled simply to call men to prayer, and that to speak of God as the Father of Lights (James 1:17), is but a figurative form of speech to denote his greatest gifts (of the lights of reason and intellect). With hardly any experience of the inner truths, they take the words literally and try to explain things theoretically.
Jesus himself in no ambiguous words declared:

I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: he that followeth me
shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
JOHN 8:12

Jesus was known as the Prince of Peace. This title infers that Jesus was filled with The Light of God or what Christians call Grace. I call this path "The Way of Grace." Those who follow The Way of Grace begin their journey by participating in The Wedding. The Crucifixion was the final attainment for the messiah, Not the first.

I agree that St. Paul twisted the teachings. However, not everyone is cut out to follow The Way of Grace. Many are plagued by ego's grasp and must "kill the flesh" as the first segment of their spiritual path. While Paul's teachings do follow the gnostic or Jewish ideas of killing the self or ego, "The Way of Passion" is needed and brings balance to The Force and the New Testament.

Hey, please do not put too much wisdom in an old book. The Bible's verses can be interpreted in any way. For sure, Moses saying "Meridian times" did not imply here and now at all, but you are free to interpret it that way. You therefore conclude that anyone is a prophet, depending on whoever is interpreting your words.

Revelations Ch 1 verse 20 'Here is the secret meaning of the seven stars....'
What is the 'secret meaning'?
Since we are told there is a secret meaning we are presumably being told to find out what it is?
Any ideas?

things.
Born of spirit mean born of spirit, from the point of view of those who wrote it. Same is born of water which means being baptized. These verses were intended by the church to lock people into the religion. Do you know that the Torah and hence the old testament is a clever "Jewish" invention, and that the new testament is a Vatican invention? These apply to all religions.

By the way when you talk of the kindom of God, do you mean the Divine universal abode of the Universal Compassionate light, or the Celestrial heaven of the Jewish tribal-war god Yahweh?

Ha ha ha. Morals are a natural fruit and seed of the society. But I see that everyone is buying into the lies. Moses never existed, and the gospels on Jesus were invented by the "first" pope under with the financial aid of Emperor Constantin. The Torah was invented by the wheuropeans who invaded and drove away the local temple and pyramid builders of Egypt, the Nubians. They backdated the story to what they thought was untraceable, 6000 years BC, but now historians are disproving them. If you visit Egyptian monuments, all the wars fought by the pharoahs are written in stone on the wall of ancient architechure. No exodus of any Jews was recorded, and if you stop the river from flowing the riverbed would be muddy knee deep. Why do we all buy into this deceipt so much so that we base our innate morals on a fictional character.

Then clever people wrote the Torah, so some more still living in Europe converted into Jews and claimed that the Exodus was about their ancestors. Based on this they now have a country called Isreal, that they created just to fulfill the old testament.
Wake up!!.

That deity and that trribe never existed. Abraham and Jacon never existed. Clever people wrote the Torah and back-dated it because they wanted to have all the riches in the world, and now they have won. They are the so-called Jews. The people who lived in Egypt and the areas they talked about were black Africans. Even Herodotus who visited Egypt around 400 BCE described them as blacks with broad noses. So it was only about one century before that when the Europeans invaded Egypt, and there was never an outfux (Exodus) of the Jews out of Egypt before then, because they never existed there in the first place. The stry of exodus etc was written and backdated by the invaders who wanted to rule the world. Many other Europeans living in Europe later Identified their "ancestors" with the Toraic characters and declared themselves jews. The world fell for it. So Isreal was created.
