It should be your choice. You should stipulate what you want to happen with everything around your death, everything. Right down to what hymns or songs are to be sung, verses to be read, length of sermon, the people who should be notified, what foods should be served, etc, etc.

The people who are left behind should not have to worry about what you would have liked to happen, second guessing you and possibly having doubts whether they did the right thing.

It is not only your life but also your death.

This is very true Rin. I know when my Mother passed away, you kind of go numb. It is much easier to deal with everything that needs to be done when you know absolutely what the deceased wanted.
