i felt mine during a dream. this guy was walking behind me and then i hugged him and it was such a nice hug that it made my heart race in the dream. an encounter of the souls in another dimension perhaps?!

perhaps.
the way you've described it as happening sounds strange though...
like maybe you've left some stuff out?
was there a bit where you'd turned around?
(my arms don't bend the way that they'd need to to fit the scene.)

i turned around and he came walking to where i was [he was walking behind me] (i entered a room and he came after)

lol

many dreams i have are like this: fragmented scenes, like a quick glimpse, sudden flashes

it’s like they are memories from past lives, or visions of the future. or maybe they are scenes that are happening in a parallel universe lol

wonder if that’s more common than having dreams that are like complete stories with a beginning and an end

could be; idk.
it may be that 'flashes' of scenes are less memorable, and that
people don't ponder over them, or share those experiences as
frequently (perhaps making them seem less common).

in your situation, it might be that you've got a 'stenographer'
at work within your mind who translates your dreams into a
shorthand version, and that details get left out of the narrative.
