New Faerie Ring

My first post on this forum many months ago was about a faerie ring that appeared shortly after my mother and I moved into our new house that we are still renting. I was upset when it disappeared right after Litha, but was content knowing simply that it had been there.


The latest project that I've undertaken in these cool-weather months with the falling leaves was to rake the front and back yard. I am composting the leaves to make good soil for my herb and vegetable gardens in the spring, so I am raking and collecting all the leaves in the spot where the gardens will be. Today I cleared a good bit that was heavily covered.


Underneath all those leaves there was another ring! It was thick, dark, beautiful grass even though it's November and getting really cold outside- the grass around this ring is dead or dying, thin and fragile. But this small patch is almost perfectly round and full of life.


I have never felt their presence so strongly as I do where I live now. I think it's wonderful that I am finding these little pieces of evidence. I think tomorrow if I can I will completely finish the raking and gathering and fully cover all the possible garden spots, so that the soil will be rich when I am ready to plant.

I also have never had a garden of any type before, and I made the decision to create an herbal garden and vegetable garden a while back, and am planning to start it fully and wholly after the solstice. Especially now that I found this new ring, I am feeling very good about my gardens now :)
