Cannibal Witch Encounter

Yes, my mother had an encounter with a powerful witch when she was just a girl. It happened in a remote small village where they lived.
She was sent to go and get some stocks with her little brother and sister at the next small village. As to why, the locals were just trusting people, knowing each other anyway.
So, back to their errand -
on their 1 km way to the town, closeby their destination,
they saw a very beautiful woman lounging on a bench of stall by the road
but they didn't go anywhere near her and just carried on walking fast.
On their way back passing, by the same stall,
on the spot of the woman was a very old man stirring a somewhat really big boiling cauldron and a sack at the ready.
(it doesn't take that much imagination what he intended to do with the huge pot and the sack)
When he looked at them, his eyes were red which alarmed them to take on their heels as fast as they can. He followed them with his sack at hand, rather with feet off the ground and not exactly running.
They got away, but when the neighbors went to find the stall after hearing about it - had found nothing there. No trace of stall at all.
