Fibonacci and Coconuts (a Limerick)
Here is a humorous Limerick I composed:
My lover's like coconut palms:
Her coconuts sway in my arms.
There's Fibonacci
In Sweetness' heat,
In flame of her bodily charms.

This is a very clever limerick, John. I admire the way you weave the elements of wind and fire together with the distinctive imagery. How very discerning to see the spiraling of sexual heat as expanding a PHI rhythm. To the natural beauty of all you describe and the joy of being able to witness life as love.

Starflower, I appreciate your kind words and most interesting comments.
When you have the time, you may like to check out my comments on the post COULD KING SOLOMON'S UNFAITHFUL END HAVE FORESHADOWED HOW........? in the CHRISTIANITY Forum. Also, in that same forum, I started a topic called BIBLICAL MARRIAGE.

Thanks, John. I much enjoy looking at the different avatars, and profile pictures you display. All your signatures deeply resonate with me, too. The Beatles quote has tremendous depth, also presenting that it is really LOVE that turns everything ON. Love expands the divine witness so maybe I could say, it is love that turns OM on.

Thanks so much, Starflower. That's a clever line you thought of, ".....it is love that turns OM on."

John,
I am glad you understand all the OMs in my poems, too.
I have a deep affinity for palm trees, and though I did not know I could draw until after I retired and had the time for playing that way, whenever I was stressed in life at work and doodling, I would draw palm trees waving in the wind. It was funny because I would be so intent on seeing the palm swaying that my angst, whatever it was, would blow away and fresh space for new ideas came in, too.
When I read your lovely limerick, I instantly caught the feeling of graceful sensuality under the images, and now I understand why my inner divine always helped me calm down with the love that sways in every palm tree, enjoying the wind.
Best always to the Fibonnaci of you.

Starflower, I'm delighted to know that my Limerick describes trees that you feel a deep affinity with. There are many coconut palm trees right here in Malaysia, and as I was admiring one of them, it occurred to me to compose a poem about it. Drawing palm trees de-stresses you, and I also find that there is something about them that relaxes me.
Many thanks for your kind and interesting comments about this verse.
