Ego

Gets in the way.

An action. A reaction....based from ego.

Addiction. Ego based.

When will the show end?

Just rambling. No one to talk to.

Instead of even attempting to relay how I feel about ego I’d much rather just quote Carl Jung

“Carl Jung — 'The first half of life is devoted to forming a healthy ego, the second half is going inward and letting go of it.”

I would have never found this website or myself if it wasn’t for my ego.

The other day a old friends ego tried to attack me. Took me a second to recognize it happening but made me grateful for them doing that. Keeping me in check. But most important helped me appreciate them even more.

I see addiction as a conflict between the ego (body/mind) and the spirit

@ Badcopyinc,
"“Carl Jung — 'The first half of life is devoted to forming a healthy ego, the second half is going inward and letting go of it.”"
Great Quote.

Since my awakening, I am able to remove, "self," from other's comments, those in my life. At times I may react or inward but my "spirit" self is now aware.
Helps too the separation of, 3D to higher & lower dimensions, which I see as connection to God, self, others.

Ego.. addiction..
When I had awakening the Words took on life of their own..
add ic T ion.
turn around the word addiction to > add oh I see (IC) T (is The Cross of Christ) ion , is
at ion level. In other words, give it to God.
I think.. most if not all.. mental illness, sickness ...
is as opposite the healing. In other words I think most if not all, illness is a lie from pit of ...

God Heals! Ego is a part of who one is, however dying to self equates to transformation. It's 3 a.m. here, i have excuses why awake, it's warm in my apartment, the 2nd hand smoke has just subsided (around 2 a.m.), etc.
Always an excuse.. part of ego.. prompts me to rise above.
:) Thanks for the thread!

It's in our neurophysiology. As an organic individual it starts with your reactions to a stimulus without conscious thought: Withdraw or approach. Once it reaches conscious awareness your decisions about what to do depend on your accumulated experiences to date if any. Integrating the moment is about the youness of you.

There are two ways to abandon the ego: 1) die, 2) get into such a trance state that it's no longer relevant. Orgasm gives a momentary glimpse of non-ego.

Without ego you have no identity. You'd be unable to post here or communicate at all. You'd be unable to express yourself.

thank you for the responses.

At this stage where ego awareness and all that jazz has been discussed so many many times. and here i am still playing. im even so attempted to wanna finger point. thats how strong its grip is right now.is self disappointing.

i know, oh how i know im gonna have moments. the high....the drop.....the low....the come out the other side sunny side up again.

i know how it goes. im going through the drop. so my ego is getting a good smashing right now.

Depression is the inability to feel the highs & lows in life (so I read, not a quote but summary). @ Inika, sounds like you're just fine!

Peter Kreeft a Catholic theologian, college professor.. wrote a book, "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Heaven."
One of the questions he addresses is: "Is There Sex in Heaven?"
He believes there are soul groups & in Heaven, the ability to love is far surpassed what this life is now..
Sounds to me like he gets the soul connection stuff.

Sometimes I get sick of my ego & sometimes I get sick of other's (ego).

Will be nice to be in heaven where LOVE IS & far surpassing this life experience, as is!

The way I see it is we wouldn't be human if we didn't have an ego.

Relationships can be emotionally painful af, i take it your OP was about that inika cause its the soulmate forums. Normally it comes from that reactive ego, but every one gets triggered out here an there or once in a while. We can just do our best and have self-respect from the latin prefix re: "again" and the latin verb spectare: "to look at" self respect: to take another look at oneself.

I don't know sometimes they just go to mess... I heard a radio show a little while back, they said some good stuff about relationships how its the same dynamic being played out over an over again in most relationships between the masculine an feminine which started long ago, they explained it really well i can't recall it all....
