Yeah here and there, not going quite as strong on it as before, busy with other stuff plus feel like I've covered a lot of ground already, variety wise.

This thread has been quite the adventure though, many twists & turns. From where I sit, at least. Figure the news with UFOs ultimately will be based on direct personal exp. (or lack thereof) and beyond that, people will think or feel how they do about the phenom regardless of what I or anyone else says or does.

Still find the subject interesting to read, hear & watch about though, so new, current ufo updates I hear of or tech./consciousness related things I'll likely still post about occasionally.

A friend and myself talked on the phone for the 1st time in a few months a day ago, we talked about this scene from Jacob's Ladder.

Last night I listened to this interview w/ Whitley Strieber who also mentions this scene from the movie. It's one line that always stuck with me from the film, I've quoted/referenced it before to people, several times in fact. On these forums as well, if memory serves.

Far as the movie goes, it's one of the more disturbing/unsettling ones I may have ever seen. Torture porn type horror movies do nothing for me, but Jacob's Ladder left an impression. I've watched it only once, a decade ago probably now. Check it out if you like mind bending, psychological suspense type movies.

Anyways, say or believe what you will about Strieber, he really brings the goods in this interview. Just over a week old, interview starts right around the 33minute mark. It's long, and there are a couple commercials but highly recommend this one. Feel it's timely and offers a fresh perspective on the subject that you don't get from some guests on these type of shows, who imo often seem to go through the motions without bringing anything all that new to the table.

Strieber "spooked" me in the old days; I Never wanted to Ever meet a Gray!!! ROFL.
However,reading his info gave me some insights into things I'd seen....at least that he'd seen the same "variety" of UFO as one of "mine". I haven't looked at this new interview yet but Will do that today. I haven't listened to "new" for quite awhile and am looking forward to it. TY again for all your sharing.

OMGoodness!!!! How people Evolve over time! That interview is sooo,Not UFO,but enlightenment and Spiritual!!!evolution and beautiful! I had no clue that Whitley was telling so much of "soul truth" stuff These days. BEAUTIFUL !!!! Well, considering what I read when his First 2 books came out(then I dumped him as "negative")...which caused me to Ignore him as Not being Spiritual but fear mongering... I Am Overjoyed Right now! I "grew" without him,for 2 decades, but I am certain he's helped a Lot of people now..the UFO people that followed him from fear into understanding and love. Oh I am soooo impressed and happy a Popular figure can do this evolution in front of followers. I "got there" without him;but now I can listen and love him! Oh that is Soooo neat. I consider this interview NOT a "UFO" interview....but a growth of the Soul interview. I'm so happy I found this here today!

Hi elfkin! :) Thank you so much for the kind words. I agree with you about the interview, really hit the spot in a few places for me as well. There's a lot of good stuff in the thread (of course I'd say that though ;) recommend perusing back pages if you are so inclined, see if anything piques your interest. It is biased somewhat, I'm a big John Mack fan, for example, so he for one is covered quite a bit.

I'm less familiar with Strieber's past work, I do have one of his newer books that I've yet to finish but yeah he really did swing into some nice spiritual territory there, a regular meditation practice probably helps out his cause and from listening to other interviews of his sounds like whatever happened to him, it was traumatic & I'm glad that he's come around to some healthy perspective on his experiences.

Maybe his wife's death helped him change in this regard as well, but that is somewhat speculative on my part, though he does praise & credit her in the interview. It was from him in fact that I was first introduced to the possible relationship & association b/t ghosts/spirits of dead/passed on loved ones, etc. & ufos/aliens, which has been an interesting connection to ponder upon. John Keel also a guy who believed that all paranormal type phenom. are connected, be it poltergeist, ufo, ghosts, etc.

Acc. to some researchers, a lot of details that do not sort of tie into or conform with many given ufologists desired/assumed notions or theories they are invested in (such as the appearance of dead relatives/friends) are overlooked or simply ignored or explained away. Which is ironic to me as this is exactly how many "debunkers" (as opposed to intellectually honest skeptics, skepticism) operate.

Anyways my original intention of posting here was to share briefly accounts of a couple sightings I've had myself the last two nights. Nothing too spectacular. First night was like an orange satellite type cruising in a straight line across the sky. I asked mental questions to it, and whether it was responding to them or not who can say, but it did alternately disappear, fade, or grow very bright a few times by degree. I've heard the reflection theory but to me that was no reflection I've come across. Reflections tend to grow and fade depending on angle of light hitting your eye as you move/it moves through line of sight. This was all over the place, one moment bright, the next virtually visually imperceptible.

And last night, the camera flash bulb type, random white flashes of light in the sky, now here, now there. No noise either time. Strangely enough it made no great impression upon me, emotionally or otherwise. Kind of a passing curiosity in the background. I have seen similar things in the sky before. Perhaps a sign or confirmation on the themes of my state & what I was turning over in my mind.

The first occasion I was holding the book 'Our Friends From Frolix 8' by Philip K. D. in my hand when I saw it, which seemed appropriate as the book in part, as the title indicates, is about an alien race coming to earth.

To celebrate my ordering more Philip K D novels, thought I'd post an interesting recent documentary about him that I've only came across tonight called The Owl in Daylight. 1hr7min. A fine film featuring interviews with an author, filmmaker, robotics guy, friends of PKD & a few other people talking about his work and the influence he had on them.

Might as well do an encore presentation of another PKD documentary that may be buried deep in the bowels of this thread, possibly year/s ago and also possibly a dead link at this point. Here's a fresh link to it, produced by the BBC in 1994, (55min) called A Day in the Afterlife.

From the movie Blade Runner (based on the PKD novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? not entirely faithful to it either, I might add) the Vangelis song Blade Runner Blues which was released in 1982, also the year he passed.

You know what's funny? Too often I keep hearing stuff like ''this year aliens will reveal themselves to us'' and even ''this will be a year of mass awakening'' etc. But all those aliens and UFO's everyone speaks of, where are they....?

It was a question in general, not really directed to a specific individual. But nevermind then.

I just don't get the point of the question Slayer. People said the internet would crash in 1999, that the world would explode in a super volcano tsunami comet solar flare in 2012. People say a lot of stuff. A lot of it ends up being wrong (although one strong enough solar flare at the wrong time in the wrong place likely takes us back to the agricultural age in one fell swoop. Something like the Carrington event would be all it takes really).

People also say the earth is flat. Arguing the point doesn't interest me. I actually find it disturbing, like symptoms of an unconscious social desire to devolve back to the dark ages, or something along those lines. What are the psychological implications?

OTOH there is no question whatsoever (to me) that ufo's are real. I've seen them myself. The question is what are they, what do they want, and what are they up to? There may be several answers to each one of those questions.

"There's no proof/you're crazy/ufos aren't real" debates bore me frankly. I respect a healthy skepticism about some of the claims, the 'believers' can be as fanatical and illogical as some of the full time 'debunkers' out there, but it just doesn't matter to me if you don't believe. If you haven't seen any, why would you? Not a conversation that interests me, trying to convince people of anything.

Don't mean to be contentious, suppose it is a valid observation; mass ufo landings and belief in coming savior alien redemption have been incorrectly forecast and believed in with fervent, religious like zeal by folks since the 50's, at least, if you read some of the books. It's a constant theme of many experiencers, channelers, ufo believers, etc. Some people (such as John Keel) have suggested that this is by design, that people are made to believe these things by ultraterrestrials. Jacques Vallee's book Messengers of Deception and Keel's book Operation Trojan Horse or Mothman Prophecies go into some detail about examples and some of the ramifications of this deceptive & mercurial type behavior of alleged non-human type beings towards alleged witnesses.

I don't think those two have all the answers either, but if you're curious about details pertaining to this pattern of belief in some ufo circles you could do worse than start there, or a book like Charles Fort's 'A Haunted Planet' (which I've put a link to earlier in the back pages of this thread, along w/ the Vallee & Keel books).

And who knows? Maybe this will be the year of the mass awakening. ;) Certainly collective consciousness is changing, idk how a person can argue otherwise. The internet alone has done this. For better or worse (both? much?) is a different question. Elon Musk says he's talking our civilization to Mars in a few years. That literally is an expansion of human consciousness. Not that conquering outer space is all that earth shattering consciousness wise, but if the earth shatters it may be a necessary step to prolong the survival of the species on/from earth. Or we could just take care of the planet we're already living on. More hospitable than the vast, stark desert like landscape of Mars.
