I have no insight as to what happened, but do not blame yourself - do not feel guilty!

I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my dad when he was 73 (5 years ago now) and that felt like he was too young! So I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel having lost him at 48.
I wish you strength and courage in the trying times. As hard as it is now to appreciate this now.. the pain lessons with time
