I enjoyed studying Buddha and Buddhism starting a couple years ago, and I've gained much help in my life from things like mindfulness and meditation. It helps clear your mind, so that things can enter, like insight into situations, yourself, including compassion and love not only for others, but for yourself.
I struggled to understand it at first, and when I started out doing the mindfulness practice, I came to understand what meditation was all about - but like a lot of things, it's not always easy to describe, even if one understands it in their own mind. It's good stuff.
