Reversed cards as advised courses of action

This has happened quite a bit in the past 24 hours.

If I'm asking something like "what can I do to make myself more open to a new love relationship" and I get the 8 of cups (reversed) and the 8 of pentacles (reversed), should I interpret it as "you need to not give up quite as easily and be less emotionally invested?"

I've done it twice now - previously I was given Knight of Wands (reversed) and Knight of Cups (reversed) which I interpreted as "go on lots of dates, expect to get disappointed" :P

I'd interpret it as:

8 of cups - don't delve too deeply
8 of pentacles - don't do what's habitual

Be impulsive! Live in the moment, going with what you feel. Just because.

Funny that it's both the "passive" suits that are getting reversed. It sounds like what will bring you to where you want to be, is a lot of energy in the realm of the fiery-airy active elements.

I see the 8 of cups and 8 of pentacles reversed a little differently.

8 represents balance, rhythm and renewed energy....reversed it can represent fear, fear of being hurt by what you desire most - love. Fear of emotional pain could represent 8 of cups reversed...oh yes, we want someone to enter our life but 'were so sensitive inwardly we're projecting these feelings out, outwardly.

With the 8 of pentacles reversed there's a feeling of impatience in the air. To put it into an upright position, you need to refocus and visualize what the type of person you want in your life and believe there is someone out there waiting for you.

Knights reversed usually represent a pause in one's journey...it doesn't mean nothing's happening, it's an opportunity to relax, have fun, do what you love to do, be in the flow....and most likely you'll have a knowing of what step to take next.
